MVK Cincinnati and Orlando Brown

We are incredibly proud to celebrate four of our CCPA students who were nominated by staff and selected for a very special experience—shopping alongside Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr., in partnership with the MVK Organization.

This opportunity was made possible because of the intentional nominations submitted by our staff, who consistently see, uplift, and advocate for our students beyond the classroom. These nominations reflect not only academic effort, but character, growth, and alignment with The CCPA Way—Care, Collaboration, Positivity, and Accountability.

During the event, our students had the chance to connect with Orlando Brown Jr., enjoy a memorable shopping experience, and feel celebrated for who they are and who they are becoming. Moments like these remind us of the power of community partnerships and the impact of adults who take the time to pour into our young people.

These nominations reflect more than academic effort—they highlight students who exemplify The CCPA Way through Care, Collaboration, Positivity, and Accountability.

Through this partnership with FC Cincinnati, our students enjoyed a special shopping experience that made them feel valued, celebrated, and inspired. Opportunities like this demonstrate the powerful impact of community partnerships and the importance of investing in our students beyond the classroom.

We are grateful to FC Cincinnati for their generosity and commitment to uplifting young people, and we are incredibly proud of our students for representing CCPA so well.

NSLP Administrative Review

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, Office of Food and Nutrition, recently conducted an administrative review of our school meal program. This marked our first on-site review since 2017, and we are proud to share that the results were very positive.

Thanks to the outstanding leadership of Mrs. Cope and the dedicated staff who support her as our School Food Authority, the review resulted in zero financial findings. Any corrective actions identified were best-practice recommendations that will further strengthen and enhance our already successful program.

Congratulations to Mrs. Cope and the entire food service team on this excellent accomplishment!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Generous Donors

We would like to extend a special thank you to our recent donors for their generous contributions to the Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy. Your support continues to make a meaningful difference for our students and families.

Our annual Santa Initiative is always a success, and it becomes even more impactful when donors help meet not only children’s wishes, but also the essential needs of their families. We are incredibly grateful to Community Resource Fund and JHD Holdings, LLC for their combined $2,500 donation, which went a long way in providing household goods to parents, helping them better care for their families.

We are also deeply honored to receive a $7,500 donation from former student Darren Watkins, also known as IShowSpeed. Darren is the first of our alumni to give back in this way, and we are truly grateful for his generosity and leadership. We believe this marks the beginning of strong alumni support for CCPA.

Finally, a very special thank you to Jack & Marybob Rubenstein and Alan & Margie Schneider for their generous gifts to the Middle School Girls Basketball Team. Their contributions will help provide new uniforms, warm-ups, and team meals—supporting our student-athletes as they work together, build teamwork, and strive for success on and off the court.

Thank you to all of our donors for believing in our students and our mission. Your generosity truly strengthens the CCPA community.

Our K–1 students were filled with excitement as Santa made a special visit to our classrooms, spreading holiday cheer and warm smiles. Each child had the opportunity to share one Christmas wish, creating magical moments of laughter, wonder, and heartfelt conversations. This joyful experience brought our students together and helped celebrate the spirit of kindness, hope, and holiday magic throughout our school community. CCPA Middle School Writers Shine with WORDPLAY CINCINNATI

We are thrilled to celebrate ten of our most talented writers who were recently selected for a special enrichment experience with WordPlay Cincinnati! This incredible organization gives young people a safe and inspiring space to uncover and share their personal stories, helping them see how their voices can create positive change — a mission that perfectly reflects the spirit of our Lions.

During this program, our students sharpened their writing skills, explored bold new ways to express themselves, and collaborated with professional mentors who encouraged them to push their ideas further. They worked in supportive groups, shared powerful pieces aloud, and discovered just how impactful their own words can be.

We are so proud of these young writers for embracing this opportunity and showing what creativity, courage, and community can accomplish!

Jr Phi Beta Scholars Enjoy an Evening at the Ballet

Our Jr. Phi Beta Scholars recently enjoyed an unforgettable evening at the Cincinnati Ballet’s The Great Gatsby, thanks to a generous ticket donation. Before the show, students shared a meal at Penn Station, practicing life skills like reading a menu and ordering in person.

At the theater, they were thrilled with front-row seats and captivated from the opening scene to the final bow. Many said they can’t wait to return to the ballet!

A big thank-you to Ms. Pray and Ms. Strickland for making this enriching experience possible.
