Heroes Luncheon
On the 25th anniversary of September 11th, Shady Grove students celebrated our local first responders at our annual Heroes Luncheon. They gave handmade cards, shook hands, got autographs and some other goodies. Classes also got their photo taken in from of some cool emergency vehicles. We celebrated our furry heroes too and gave lots of pets to Barney the Courthouse Comfort Dog. After students were done visiting, the HSA provided lunches for the heroes. Thank you to all of our first responders!

More Information on WeCare
WeCare is fueled by the passion of its founders Eva O'Brien, Kelly Evans, Lauren Kellock, and Sue Kauffman DePuyt.
WeCare's mission is to build a supportive community for food-insecure Ambler families, creating connections and providing direct access to essential resources. WeCare is currently assisting 21 families (including 58 children) with bi-weekly food distribution and resource newsletters during the school year, and in the summer of 2024, they distributed 2,708 nutritious snack bags, and organized activities for over 400 children. WeCare is aligned with the non-profit organization, Family Promise Montco, PA. Sign up to tell WeCare you can help cover costs.
Donations can be made in person or online at fpmontco.org/donate/wecare and checks payable to “Family Promise Montco PA” with “WeCare” in the memo line mailed to Family Promise Montco PA, 31 S Spring Garden Street, Ambler, PA, 19002.
