Delays and Early Releases Delays and Early Releases

For delays and early releases, we will use a modified schedule. It is linked below and we will use this if we are able to know ahead of time (especially for delayed starts). It is worth noting, however, that our schedule for early release will be more fluid due to the short notice.

Events, After-School Activities, and Athletics on Delays/Early Releases

Any special events, activities, and athletics may be impacted by either early release or delayed start. Ideally these will be rescheduled but may be outright canceled with no additional option.

What Happens on the First Snow Day? What Happens on the First Snow Day?

The first snow day is a snow day! Students and staff are off and the day is not made up through additional time or added days at the end of the calendar.

What Happens on Succeeding Snow Days? What Happens on Succeeding Snow Days?

Succeeding snow days will be virtual school days. Students will be expected to log into virtual class through Google Meet links on their Google Classroom pages. We did have students do a dry-run of this (8th Grade on December 17th, 6th and 7th on December 18th). Additionally, the links to all google meet links for each grade level can be found below.

Recess in Winter Recess in Winter

Even in winter, students do still get outside recess. Here are the guidelines:

  • If the temperature is below 32 degrees but above 10 degrees, students can go outside but must wear long sleeves and pants.
  • If the temperature is at 10 degrees and below, students must have an additional layer like a sweatshirt or coat.

We do recommend students have jackets, hats, and gloves, but do not provide them.
