Taking a moment to shine a well-deserved spotlight on Mr. Martin Valerio, Ms. Ashley Arthur, Mrs. Kathryn Stabell, and Mrs. Danielle Hamilton during Assistant Principal Appreciation Week! 🌟
Your dedication to the Silver Fox community is felt every day—not just this week. From guiding students to supporting staff and families, you wear many hats with grace, compassion, and heart.
Thank you for the meaningful work you do and the lasting impact you make. We appreciate you more than words can say! 💙🦊

Thanks for your help!
Congratulations
Congratulations to Mr. Stephen Carrasco our TOMS Staff Member of the Week! He was nominated by Mrs. Scotia Salcedo.
Mr. Carrasco is a Paraprofessional at TOMS. This is his 4th year working at TOMS.
My favorite memory of middle school was participating in sports and social gatherings like clubs and dances. I enjoyed Math, Science, and PE.
My advice to my Middle School self would be... be yourself. Get involved in activities, sports, clubs, etc. where you have the potential to meet people and have fun.
We are beyond excited to announce the winners of the SCEA Read Across America Art Contest from TOMS! All of our recipients were talented members of Mr. Patrick Best's art classes last semester.
Congratulations to our three amazing winners:
Sofia Michalski – Honorable Mention in the 3rd Division (Grades 6-8)
Amelia Owens & Mya Moore – Artistic Merit Awards
A big shout-out to our 4 Honorable Mentions:
Emily Deitrick, Emmalyn Farrow, Kimber Patterson, & Gwen Haentjens.
A special thank you to Cory Porter from The SCEA for presenting the prizes to our winners! Each winner received a ribbon, certificate, cash prize, and other wonderful gifts.
It was such a joy to have our top 3 winners celebrated with their parents present!
Thank you all for your participation, and we can’t wait to see the creative works that next year’s contest will bring!

This week Mrs. Brady and the TOMS Jr. Beta Club had the honor of hosting a luncheon for our student members to connect with local law enforcement, first responders, and service men and women.
The National Beta Club is a prestigious organization that fosters academic achievement, character, leadership, and service among elementary and secondary school students. Our members have the opportunity to engage in various activities, including participating in competitions at state and national conventions, contributing to service projects, and developing leadership skills.
A huge thank you to all the amazing individuals who joined us for this special event, and to our Beta Club members for being such great ambassadors of service and leadership!

i-Ready Math Incentive Celebration!
This morning, students who reached their TOMS Math Incentive goals for i-Ready enjoyed a well-earned extra recess!
There were yard games, snacks, and lots of fun as a reward for all their hard work and dedication. We’re so proud of everyone who met their goals — well done!
Keep up the great work, TOMS students!
Shoutout to the TOMS Girls Running Club!
The girls did an amazing job running their 5K yesterday! A big congratulations to Jade Abner, who led the way and came in first overall!
We are so incredibly proud of all the girls and so thankful to our dedicated teachers — Mrs. LaValle, Ms. Gombos, Mrs. Scully, and Mrs. Anderson — for an inspiring and successful running season!
A special thank you as well to Ms. Forsyth, Mrs. Rich, and Mrs. Ashby for volunteering their time to keep the girls motivated and safe every step of the way. Way to go, TOMS runners!
A big thank you to Grand Strand Miracle Leagues and our TOMS Staff for making an unforgettable experience for our TMD students! We had an incredible time on our field trip to Doug Shaw Memorial where the students got to play baseball!
The Grand Strand Miracle Leagues truly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to play, connect, and shine—on and off the field. Their programs are designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and adaptive, ensuring that every athlete, no matter their ability, can experience the joy of sports and community.
Our Silver Foxes and staff definitely had a blast! Thank you for helping make these special moments possible!

Mr. Clifford Jones, the new Superintendent of Horry County Schools, has scheduled “Coffee with Cliff” events for the remainder of the school year. As a newcomer to Horry County Schools, Mr. Jones wants to use these events to listen to the community's ideas and concerns and to share news about the district with community members. These events are just one of many ways Mr. Jones hopes to connect with the community and listen, share, and learn to make Horry County Schools an even better district. #HCSBestDaysAhead
“Coffee with Cliff” consists of informal listening sessions and discussions. Everyone is invited, and no registration or appointment is needed. Just show up, enjoy a cup of coffee, and chat
