A Message from the Principal

I wanted to inform you about an exciting new program we are implementing starting Monday,11/2. To enhance communication regarding student attendance, we will be utilizing Attendance Intervention, a PowerSchool product designed to streamline updates and alerts for families. Harvey was also a part of the pilot team for this last year, so some of this information might be repetitive from last year.

With Attendance Intervention, you will receive text messages and email alerts directly from teachers and school leaders, keeping you informed about your child's attendance in real time.

What makes Attendance Intervention unique?

· No Login Required: Messages will automatically be sent to the phone number and email address the school has on file for you.

· Direct Communication: Each message will come from a unique phone number associated with the sender. This direct line allows you to easily save the sender’s number in your phone and reply directly to them, if desired.

· Absence Alerts: Families will be notified if a student is absent from school in a timely fashion.

· Say Goodbye to Language Barriers: Attendance Intervention translates text and email messages into more than 90 languages, based on the preferred language on file.

We are confident that this program will enhance communication and ensure we are all working together to support our students’ successes. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education.

Here are some updates & reminders regarding Halloween @ Jack Harvey

If you are volunteering your student's teacher should be aware of this (please do not drop in to volunteer) and you MUST have a completed background check through RAPTOR (see bottom of s'more for more information) If you do not have a background check completed you WILL NOT be permitted to volunteer in your student's classroom (s)
The parade will be held outside weather permitting and will begin at 11:40am. Families are welcome to start joining us outside at 11:30am
If it rains, we will be holding the parade in the gym (a map will be sent out if needed)
You can sign your student out after the parade with their classroom teacher- please read below for more information
3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade families you will sign your student out by going to your student's exterior classroom door. Your student's teacher will be there with a sign out sheet.
Kindergarten and ASD you will sign your student out with their teacher at Door 2
First grade you will sign your student out with their teacher at door 8
Second grade you will sign your student out with their teacher at the main doors

The Raptor Safe app offers a convenient and secure way for visitors to manage and verify their identify before arriving at school. This profile provides a Raptor Passport which can be used to quickly and easily check in at the school office via the app.
