Dear KPBSD Families,
We want to reassure you that KPBSD’s Student Nutrition Program will continue operating as usual during the current federal government shutdown. All school meal services will remain available to students, and there will be no interruption in service.
If your household receives SNAP or other federal benefits that are affected by the shutdown, your student may still qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on your household income. Families can apply for meal benefits at any time during the school year—even if they have been denied in the past or expect their situation to change soon.
Meal applications can be filled out online, or you can contact your local school or Student Nutrition Services at 907-714-8890 for help. If you need access to a computer to complete the application, we are happy to assist.
Thank you for supporting our students and school communities.
