Saint Ambrose

Saint Ambrose

One of Ambrose's historical claims to fame is that he was instrumental in the conversion of Saint Augustine, and also baptized him. Known for his lively preaching and writing, Saint Ambrose must have been a force to be reckoned with. Maybe those qualities were what attracted Saint Augustine.

Parish Garden Saints

Did you know each of our beds in the parish garden is named for a saint? St. Ambrose was chosen as the patron saint of beekeepers. While we try to plant a variety of vegetables for our food bank guests, we also try to promote the bee population by planting flowers they love as well. If you are interested in volunteering in our parish garden, please contact Morningstar at the parish office.

Cross Walk 2023

Thank you to all who participated in our 2023 Cross Walk on Good Friday. One of our speakers, Rev. Haley Ballast, from Hagar's Community Church, shared this resource for those who would like to write to those who are in prison.

Spring Service Day

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with our spring service day on April 22. We prepped the parish garden for planting, cleaned the gym and parish center 240, raked and tidied the ELC playground, and edged/weeded some of the parish grounds. We also prepared 100 snack packs to give to people who need a little sustenance. (Shout out to our Columbiettes for providing some of the snacks!) It was a great way to celebrate Earth Day!
