Conference Dinner Donation Request!
The Prairie PTO provides dinner for our teachers during conferences. We are asking for beverage and dessert donations to round out the meal. Donations can be dropped off at Prairie's front vestibule Tuesday, October 14th and Wednesday, October 15th during school hours.
Please sign up here.
Thank you for helping us show appreciation for our teachers!
Construction Impact on School Arrival & Dismissal
The Village of Barrington’s Route 14 underpass project is on-going. We anticipate buses to be delayed and traffic to be slow-moving around the district for at least the next four weeks. Here is a map of where all the work is taking place.
If your child rides the bus, please make sure you have downloaded the My Ride K-12 app so that you can keep track of your child’s bus and any potential delays that may occur as a result of this work.
If you drive your child, please allow extra time and please be patient allowing buses to leave our lot at the end of the day.
Next Prairie PTO Meeting
Join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, October 14th at 9:15 in the Prairie LMC. Pre-register here to expedite check in. Can’t wait to see you!
Donate while you Dine
Visit Culver's of Hoffman Estates (4635 Hoffman Blvd.) on October 8th from 4:00
PM - 8:00 PM. Culver's will donate 15% of sales to the Prairie Middle School PTO.
Enjoy a delicious meal, benefit a great cause and feel good all over! BUT WAIT! There's more: the students in the grade level with the highest level of participation during the Dine & Share will each receive a coupon for a free scoop of custard. Let's get some custard!

Supporting a Safe Environment at Prairie
Dear Prairie Families,
I want to share an important health update about our school community. We have a staff member and students with a severe, airborne latex allergy that can trigger anaphylaxis. While it isn’t possible to guarantee a completely latex-free environment, we are committed to taking reasonable steps to reduce exposure and maintain a safe setting for everyone.
To help support this effort, we ask that families:
Do not send latex balloons to school. Mylar/foil balloons are a safe alternative.
Be mindful when sending in supplies or materials that could contain latex. If you are unsure, feel free to check with our school nurse.
Thank you for helping us create a caring and safe environment at Prairie. Your cooperation ensures that our focus can remain on what matters most—learning, growth, and the success of everyone within our Prairie family.
With gratitude,
Travis Lobbins
Principal, Prairie Campus
