Accolades & Highlights
Honoring Excellence: Sierra Slentz Surprised With a New Car During Teacher Appreciation Week
Ceramics and sculpture teacher Sierra Slentz was honored during Teacher Appreciation Week after more than two decades in the classroom and receiving dozens of heartfelt nominations. A dedicated and beloved educator, Ms. Slentz has impacted countless students through her creativity, passion, and commitment to the arts. Recently facing a serious illness, the recognition held even deeper meaning for her and her family.
During the celebration, she was surprised in front of her students and colleagues with a new Kia K4, with her husband and daughter waiting inside the car to share in the special moment. The vehicle was generously donated by Tobin Auto Group in partnership with Silver State Schools Credit Union and the Clark County School District. Ms. Slentz shared that the gift came at a meaningful time, especially after years of driving the same car she purchased during her first year of teaching.

Annual Shakespeare Festival Set-Up and Rehearsals Take Over Knapp Stage
After weeks—truly months—in the making, this year’s Theatre Conservatory Shakespeare Festival transformed campus spaces into a dynamic, immersive performance experience. Various locations including the parking garage, field, and Knapp Stage all came to life as students showcased their work in powerful, creative ways.
One of the standout moments was Macbeth, brought to life in the Technical Theater scene shop, adding a unique and unforgettable twist to the production.
A truly exciting festival of student talent and storytelling by the Theatre Conservatory
LVA Makes History: Adrianna Keroles Earns National DECA Medal
Big shoutout to junior Jazz major Adrianna Keroles for making LVA history last week as the first student to earn a medal at the DECA National Competition in Atlanta! She competed in Financial Consulting against hundreds of students from across the country and placed in the 90th percentile—earning one of only 20 presentation medals given out.
We are so proud of Adrianna and our DECA team for showing up, stepping out, and representing LVA at the national level in such a strong way. Can’t wait to see what she does next year!
Spring Choir Concert Brings Unforgettable Music, Movement, and Energy to the Stage!
The Spring Choir Concert was one of those performances showing the multi-talented skills beyond just singing it was a full scale production. TV-inspired arrangements, choreography and costumes, filled the stage with a non-stop exciting show.
High praise from former choir instructor, Principal Koepp said "The coordination required to pull off that level of movement while maintaining such tight harmonies was a massive achievement. Way to go!"
Guitar Rock Concert Brings Loud, High-Energy Tradition to Life on the Lowden Stage
The Guitar Rock Concert is one of those LVA traditions everyone looks forward to, students, guitarists, and the audience alike. It’s loud, it’s exciting, and it brings a completely different energy to campus.
The moment they plug in, everything shifts. The stage fills with high-energy rock, the crowd feeds off it, and the performers really get to show a different side of their musicianship and passion. It’s one of those nights where the music, the students, and the audience are all fully in it together.
