FF WEEK 14 - February 9, 2025

Weekly Message From the Faith Formation Team
Hi Parents,
We have entered into the sacrament season of faith formation. Many of our youth are preparing either in their first or second year to receive one or more of the sacraments the Catholic Church offers.
We had a great First Reconciliation we had last Saturday. 75 of our children received this beautiful sacrament of God's mercy and forgiveness. If you had a child scheduled for this but missed it, please let us know so we can give you alternative make up options.
This weekend our Confirmation Year 2 youth will be on retreat. Please pray for them and our volunteer leaders who will be accompanying them as the youth journey into their final phase of preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Upcoming is a Sacrament Workshop on February 22 from 10 am - 12 pm in the Conference Center - Gallery. This workshop is for children and parents in our OCIA class who are preparing to be received fully into the Catholic Church during this Easter Season, high school youth preparing for First Holy Communion on May 4, and high school youth in Confirmation class preparing for full initiation into the Church. An individual email was sent to each family that should attend. If you have a question about whether you and your child should attend this workshop, please let us know.
This Sunday, we really need help with our Challenge and Conquest program. Whether you have a child in this program or another, we can use your help! Please visit our SIGNUP to let us know.
Many blessings,
The Faith Formation Team

OCIA-Youth Class - Sacramental Year 2025
SACRAMENTAL WORKSHOP - FEB 22, 2025 @ 10 AM
Youth in OCIA preparing for baptism at the Easter Vigil this spring and candidates preparing to be received into the Catholic Church on May 4th should plan to be at this workshop. We will review the Sacraments of Initiation and prepare families for their reception into the Catholic Church. If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact Joyce Blum: jblum@stmcary.org.
Parents, please complete the OCIA Sacrament Data Form (below) and bring it to the workshop. Additionally, your chosen sponsor should be in the process of completing the sponsor form (see below).
We continue to need volunteers to be extra hands. If groups want to participate in an outside activity, move to the gym, or play on the fields, we need a second adult present. Some groups have two adults volunteering consistently, but many do not. By volunteering with a group, you give them the ability to participate in all activities. The button below takes you to our Volunteer Sign-Up. Thank you in advance for your support!
⭐ Due to Volunteer absences, we are especially in need of volunteers this week! ⭐

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
