The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
Friday, January 23rd
Good Evening K9 Families,
What a quick week it has been! With no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and eLearning on Friday, the days seemed to fly by. But even with a shorter week, our students made the most of every moment! In classrooms, students were engaged in hands-on activities, creative projects, and collaborative learning experiences. On our virtual Google Meet calls, students participated in interactive lessons, shared their ideas with classmates, and even had some fun games and challenges that kept everyone smiling.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity, and resilience our students showed this week. They truly made the most of every learning opportunity, both in-person and online!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend and stay warm! We can’t wait to see our students back on Monday, ready for another week of learning, exploring, and growing together.

School Information
Attendance and Transportation Reminders
We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.
Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.
Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.
Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
