Special Education Storytelling
#MiLimitlessPotential
At Ingham ISD, supporting students with diverse needs is fundamental to our mission. More than 225 team members work each day to provide specialized instruction and services through our special education programs.
This year, our communication efforts have intentionally highlighted special education, allowing us to share powerful stories of resilience, determination and growth with our community. Our dedicated staff have welcomed us into their classrooms and programs, and parents have trusted us to share their experiences, allowing us to showcase the meaningful work happening and student milestones that represent tremendous progress and achievement.
By telling these stories, we are strengthening understanding across our community and celebrating the impact of this work. When we say All Means All, we mean every learner, every ability and every pathway.
Counted Out Documentary Screening
Community members are invited to a family-friendly dinner and screening of "Counted Out", a thought-provoking documentary that explores math, education and opportunity.
The film highlights how math influences nearly every aspect of daily life, from the news we see and the jobs we pursue to the policies that shape our communities. Through personal stories and expert insights, "Counted Out" challenges the idea that only some people are math people and examines what is at stake when numeric literacy is out of reach for so many. The evening is designed to spark meaningful conversation about how strengthening math understanding can expand access, equity and opportunity for all students.
