Student Representatives to the Board of School Directors
Pine Road hosted its first Fitness Festival! Inspired by Carol Lusignea, who was a treasured PE teacher at Pine Road, the event brought students together to play games, dance, and participate in Zumba classes. The Fitness Festival was a success in connecting the community and was a ton of fun! Pine Road also hosted two Back to School Nights and had a great turnout! Families explored resources and attended a short informational session about attendance procedures led by Principal Mrs. McMullan.
Murray Avenue organized two exciting Spirit Days! Students participated in dressing up as their favorite Book or TV character and Phillies Spirit Day. The 5th grade class also took part in an off-campus program at Camp America. The program focused on team-building and collaboration skills through fun games and group activities!
At the Lower Moreland Middle School, the 8th grade class took part in a trip to TreeTrails Adventures, a climbing adventure park that offers ropes courses, ziplining, and zip racing. Additionally, students participated in the Advisory program, where they were offered 53 clubs to choose from and take part in. The 8th grade trip and Advisory program were both successful in building community and social connections between students!
Finally, at the high school, The Color Run hit record-breaking fundraising and was a huge success! The Interact Club Car Wash also raised an impressive total of $1,200 for the Wounded Warrior Project, the nation's leading veteran service organization. Students worked hard organizing both the Color Run and Car Wash, and we are so proud of their efforts and dedication to making change wherever they can!
Pine Road’s first Fitness Festival was so much fun!

Announcing the 2025-2026 Curriculum and Program Review Cycle
The Office of Teaching and Learning is pleased to announce the official commencement of our 2025-2026 curriculum and program review cycle. As part of our ongoing commitment to "Every Learner. Every Day" and our mission to deliver a nurturing and empowering learning environment, we are dedicated to a process of continuous improvement to ensure our programs are relevant, engaging, and effective for all students.
This year, we will continue to utilize our revised, multi-year curriculum review process, which is grounded in the principles of Design Thinking. This user-centered approach ensures that we begin by deeply understanding the experiences of our students, teachers, parents, and community members. The first year of the cycle is dedicated to the Empathize, Define, and Ideate stages, where we will conduct research to understand stakeholder needs, define specific challenges, and generate a wide range of creative ideas for the future of each program.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the following areas will be under review:
New Curriculum Reviews: We will be initiating a comprehensive review of our English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD), and Health & Physical Education curricula.
New Program Review: We will also initiate a comprehensive review of our Gifted Program.
Continuing Reviews: Our important curriculum review work will continue for the Art and Music departments, as well as the School Counseling Program.
We look forward to a collaborative and insightful process as we work together with our stakeholders to ensure our curriculum and programs continue to meet the needs of every learner.

Transportation Information
Additional Routes
The district made some necessary changes to the transportation schedule for students currently assigned to Bus 20 for the Pine Road Elementary run as well as students assigned to Buses 8 and 10 for the Murray Ave/LMMS runs. Due to the high volume of ridership and to address the need for a more efficient and timely transportation service, the decision was made to reroute these buses utilizing additional buses. These adjustments will help shorten the overall ride time for students, enhance route reliability, and improve the daily experience on the bus. These changes were effective Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
We are asking all families to check the updated transportation details to confirm your child’s new schedule. To do so please log into the Home Access Center (HAC) to view the most current information:
Log in to your HAC account.
Navigate to the Registration Tab and look for your student’s transportation information under the Demographics heading.
Confirm your student’s bus number, stop location, and pick-up times. All of these may have changed.
We understand that any change to a routine can be disruptive, and we appreciate your flexibility as we implement this solution for the long-term benefit of our students.
Activity Buses for Murray Avenue
The district has added afterschool Activity Buses for Murray Ave that started on September 22, 2025. These new routes will ensure students at Murray Avenue have access to after-school enrichment and academic support programs. The buses will run the same as the Activity Buses at LMHS/LMMS runs. They will be available Monday-Thursday at 4:20 PM.
Local Right to Education Task Force
The Department of Special Education is sharing information about a local group that may be of interest. The Local Right to Education Task Force 23 of Montgomery County is an organization, sponsored by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit that brings together parents, school district representatives, county mental health/developmental disabilities representatives, and local support agency offices to inform parents and to address individual and systemic issues affecting our students who receive special education services. Additionally, parent input is critical to providing services to our students and this task force is one way of obtaining that input on a larger scale. Please consider attending a meeting at your earliest convenience. All meetings are virtual.
The link to the Task Force’s website, including a list of meeting dates, is here.
