A message from the PTA Board

Cheers to the holidays and all the fun that comes this time of year. We all had so much fun with you on Tuesday at Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams at Corwell Health. We especially loved all the creative glow energy that the crowd brought on a chilly night. Thank you for helping shine a light of hope to all the little ones.

This week, we have a school-wide sing-along and class parties. A special thank you to all of the Grade Connectors and Volunteers who are helping to bring cheer to our students and helping the teachers make it to the 2025 finish line.

As a special thank you to our teachers and staff, we are offering a gift-giving option: Gift Crowd. All gifting should be complete by December 17th so that the staff member can open and use the gift card during their hard-earned break.

Teacher Gifts

With all the Prime Days and other shopping deals out there, we want to share that Bingham Farms will once again be offering GiftCrowd for teacher and staff gifts. Information will come out in November. This is a way to contribute to a larger group gift card for each staff person and is their preferred gift.

Join Gift Crowd: Select the staff you'd like to contribute to. They will see your message and the total of combined gifts for them (not your individual contribution).
All contributions must be made by December 17, 2025

Invitation to Join the Board

Being a part of the PTA Board is a great opportunity to share your ideas and influence the way the PTA supports our school. We invite you to consider joining the Board as the PTA Expense Treasurer or the PTA Vice President (President Elect). These positions are two-year positions and are open to any member of our PTA. Whether you are creative, analytical, introverted/extroverted, or just care a lot about our kids, there is a place for you on our Board. If you would like to learn more about these positions, please reach out to our current PTA Vice-President, Sam Silver.

All interested PTA members are encouraged to attend the January 13th PTA Meeting to learn more and express their interest.

Volunteer Opportunities: December - June

Each newsletter, we will update volunteer opportunities for ways to get involved in the school and see your kiddos. No experience needed, just warm smiles and a willingness to help out. *Volunteer opportunities for class parties will be sent out by your Grade Connector. In the meantime, will you consider helping us in the Library, Cafeteria, or on the Playground?

PTA Meeting: January 13, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

All Bingham Farms families are invited to join us for our monthly PTA meetings. We meet in the Media Center to share updates on school programs, vote on how to support our classrooms, and hear the Principal's report.

Kindergarten Round-up: January 27 6:30 p.m.

Welcome Class of 2039!

Get ready to take your first step toward Kindergarten for the 2026 to 2027 school year. Join us for Kindergarten Round-Up to tour your school, meet your Kindergarten teachers and principal, learn about our curriculum, connect with other incoming families, and get your questions answered. Whether you have already selected your school or are still exploring your options, we invite you to attend Round-Up at your local elementary school or any of the schools listed below to learn more about the BPS Kindergarten experience. We look forward to meeting you.

VIP & Me Dance: February 6th

Save the Date! Friday, February 6, 2026 will be our VIP & Me Dance for Pre-K to 2nd Grade Students. The event will take place in our school gym and is a memorable night you won't want to miss.

PTA Membership Directory

We invite all our families to participate in our Membership Directory. Within the PTA Membership Toolkit there is a school-wide Directory. This is the best spot to look for contact info for meet-ups, party invitations, and the name and number for "Luke's Mom".

Seriously, the other day he came home with, "Mom I need a play date with ___, I have his number written down..." it was five numbers, nothing else. 🤦🏻‍♀️(Cue Membership Directory)

Help our school while you shop. Under your Kroger Plus Card Account > Rewards > Community Rewards, you can select an organization that a portion of your sale goes to support! Choose AC809 for Bingham Farms Elementary and our PTA gets a check with no extra steps after you sign-up.

Box Tops for Education

A great way to support the school is through Box Top$ for Education. Long gone are the days of clipping the barcodes of cereal boxes or soup labels. Download the app, select Bingham Farms Elementary, and each time you shop at the grocery scan your receipt. It will auto calculate the donation and send it to our school! It is easy, and you don't need to know which food or supplies qualify for credit - the app checks for you. Now download that app while you wait for the bus, or in the pick-up gathering zone.
