CELEBRATIONS🎉
New this week
🌻Oshkoth North Plant Sale 🪴
It is that time of year! Starting this Friday, be sure to check out the Oshkosh North Plant Sale! The horticulture classes have worked very hard to provide quality plants at a reasonable price, making this a great opportunity to stock up for the season.
Please note that there is no parking behind North High School; however, you may pull up briefly to load your plants. Be sure to follow the directions provided on the sale flier.
New this year: porch pots! Choose from premade arrangements or have one made to order to suit your space and style.
We look forward to seeing you in the greenhouse!
Update to Graduation Commencement Protocols
Class of 2026 as we approach graduation, we are committed to ensuring our commencement ceremony is a meaningful and inclusive celebration of every student's hard work and dedication.
Based on recent feedback and a review of our commencement traditions, we are pleased to announce an update to our ceremony protocols. Moving forward, the district will announce the names of all students who have achieved graduation status, regardless of their ability to attend the ceremony in person, if they wish to have their name announced.
If your student is unable to attend the commencement ceremony but would still like their name to be read aloud during the ceremony, we ask that you officially notify us through this Form. This form only needs to be completed if your child cannot attend the ceremony, but would like their name announced as a graduate of the Class of 2026.
The deadline for completion of this form is May 15th. Please reach out to your child's administrator for any additional questions or concerns.
Senior Assassin Info. and Reminders
As we enter the final weeks of the school year, we want to ensure that our seniors’ high school experience ends on a positive and safe note for everyone. To that end, we are reaching out to address a recurring safety concern: the student-organized game known as "Senior Assassin."
What is "Senior Assassin"?
This is a game organized by students - not by our schools or the district - where seniors use water guns or Nerf guns to "tag" or "eliminate" each other until one person is left. The game typically involves students sharing their real-time locations on social media to track their peers.
Why We Are Sharing This
While many students view this as a way to have fun outside of school, it is important to understand that it can be easily misinterpreted by the public. Our goal is to prevent dangerous misunderstandings, trespassing, or reckless driving that could lead to tragic accidents, police intervention, or legal trouble.
School Policy Reminders
To maintain a safe learning environment, we must be very clear:
School Expectations: This game is NOT allowed on school grounds, at bus stops, and during school-sponsored events (such as athletics, performances, and prom).
Prohibited Items: Toy guns, water guns, or look-alike weapons of any kind are never allowed on school property. Students who bring these items to school or engage in the game on campus will face immediate disciplinary action.
Guidance for Students Who Choose to Play Outside of School
While our school cannot control activities that happen off-campus and after hours, we care about student safety at all times. If your student chooses to participate independently, please discuss these safety requirements:
Keep it away from school: Remind them it is never allowed at school or school events.
Visual Safety: Never use any item that resembles an actual weapon.
Respect Private Property: Never go onto someone’s property without permission. Trespassing is a serious legal matter and can lead to dangerous confrontations with homeowners.
Community Respect: Be respectful of community members who may not know about the game.
Compliance: Stop playing immediately if asked by an adult or a police officer.
We ask parents and guardians to help us reinforce these boundaries so that the Class of 2026 can finish the year safely, positively, and successfully.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students and our community safe.
