Dear Central Middle School Community,

I am happy to report that we are off to a great start to the school year! Approximately 250 students attended our Back-to-School Dance last Friday, fall sports are in full swing, our first round of club participation is about to begin, our MTSS implementation is progressing well, and our teachers are leading vibrant, engaging lessons every day.

Please take a few moments to review the information below. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out directly to your student's teacher, school counselor, or a member of the administration team.

As a reminder, if your child plans to attend the high school Homecoming football game this Friday, they must be accompanied by an adult. Admission for middle school students is contingent upon adult supervision. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to a successful and rewarding year for all of our students.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Our Field Hockey game for this afternoon has been changed to a HOME game and our Football team has their home opener against North today. Both games start at 3:30. Come out and support our student-athletes!

Go RAMS!

MTSS Update MTSS Update

This school year, under the direction of the Pennridge School District, Pennridge Central Middle School is implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for all students in grades 6-8. MTSS is a framework that helps us identify students' strengths and needs and provide timely academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support. Through regular progress monitoring and targeted instruction, we can ensure that every student receives the support they need.

As part of our MTSS process, students have completed a Universal Screener through the IXL online program. Please be on the lookout for electronic letters via SchoolMessenger with information on how to view your child's ELA and Math screener results, in addition to information as to whether your child has been recommended for any intervention services based on the screener data.

We look forward to partnering with families as we work together to help all students learn, grow, and thrive. As always, please contact Pennridge Central Middle School with any questions or concerns.

Parent Notification required if PM/Dismissal is Different from what is Assigned Parent Notification required if PM/Dismissal is Different from what is Assigned

If your student needs to use a different mode of transportation than their assigned method on a given day, please notify the school office before 2:00 PM. This includes students who are assigned to a bus and need to be a walker or car rider that day.

Bus Riding Changes - Important Reminder

To help keep all students safe and accounted for at dismissal, we ask that families follow a few simple guidelines when requesting a change to a student’s usual bus routine.

In most cases, we do not approve students riding home on a different bus with a peer unless there is a clear supervisory reason (for example, parents will be out of town and the peer’s parent will be responsible for the student). We also require written permission from **both** sets of parents before any such change can be approved.
