Information for Families
Dear Timberwolf Families,
The theme of our Success Assemblies this year has been that "We Can Do Hard Things" and the conversations have been centred around building resilience in our students. I came across the article in the link below which I have found very helpful as both a parent and an educator. I highly recommend reading it as the article has excellent suggestions for how to talk to your children about becoming resilient and tolerating the difficult time when we are in "The Learning Space". Congratulations to our Timberwolves in the Spotlight at the assembly this month. These students were nominated by staff members for doing "Hard Things". We are proud of you: Isla, Skye, Aeridyn, Evie, Katherine, Corbin, Gage, Gavan and Chance!
Family Science Night has been rescheduled for tonight, May 26th from 6 pm to 7 pm. We are looking forward to hosting families at Truedell. Please consider joining us for this event.
As always, please reach out to us if you have questions or need support.
Take care,
K. Esford, Principal

Timberwolves Touch Football Team
Truedell had an incredible debut at the Calvin Cup touch football tournament yesterday, scoring the most points and allowing the least points of any team in the recreational division.
With an average margin of victory of 23 points and pitching two shutouts, the T-wolves finished the day 3-1, solidifying themselves as a championship contender.
Tournament MVP Gage Snyder led the division with 8 receiving touchdowns and over 500 yards, while dual threat Russell Gauph posted another 6 combined receiving and passing touchdowns. Matthew threw another 10 touchdowns, also connecting with Sam and Rachel. Autumn rose to the occasion pulling in 4 catches, with Maddie just barely missing a touchdown on an incompletion.
Defensively, Raleigh led the team with 4 interceptions and, accompanied by others from Alex S., Alex K., Benny, Mako, and Kellen. Delilah provided ample pressure on the quarterback, recording over 10 sacks in 4 games, while Evelyn and Finn each recorded one of their own.
We are so proud of how far everyone grew and developed over the course of our short season and we couldn’t be more thankful of how hard you all worked to compete. To the graduating 8th graders, thank you for all you did this season and for everyone else, Truedell will be back at the tournament next year with its sights on a championship, but we couldn’t be more proud of our performance. Great work T-wolves!
Timberwolves Track & Field Team
On Friday, the 65 students who are part of the Truedell Track and Field team spent a very long, cold day demonstrating that they can do hard things. On a day that was cold, wet and not ideal conditions for track and field, all of our Timberwolves showed true grit and determination. All of the coaches are SO incredibly proud of each and every athlete who showed up and gave it their very best.
