Ordination Service Ordination Service

Anna Podgaisky, a missionary from Ukraine, has been approved by the Board of Deacons for ordination in minstry. She is currently a hospital chaplain and pastoral resident. Her passion and drive for ordination, endorsed by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, stems from a profound commitment to serving and bringing transformation to traumatized communities.

Her ordination will take place on Saturday, June 21, at 6 PM at our church. An ice cream social will follow. You are invited to join this service and social.

Summer Feeding Summer Feeding

Wanda Kidd, in partnership with CBFNC is coordinating the WNC summer feeding program during July.

  • We have 11 church sites that will distribute food to people from Spruce Pine to Canton and Hendersonville. Each site will identify 10 families with children who are expected to experience food insecurity this summer.
  • The funds for purchasing the food boxes are provided by CBF Global and funds donated to CBFNC for disaster response.
  • The Raleigh Baptist Association purchased backpacks for the children to have extra snacks and use during the school year.
  • Everything will be packed here at Mars Hill Baptist Church and distributed to the sites from here.

Wanda will share more information soon and you can get a copy of the food packing list from Wanda or the church office.

Daily Devotional Daily Devotional

Click here for the daily devotional experience.

d365 is a daily devotion written for youth and adults. The devotion follows a five-step format – Pause, Listen, Think, Pray, Go.

  • The Pause step remains the same all week and is designed as a centering tool as you begin the devotion.
  • The Listen step is the scripture passage for the day, using the Common English Bible translation.
  • The Think step is the devotional thought by the week’s writer.
  • The Pray step is the start of a prayer that you can expand into your own conversation with God.
  • The Go step is a call to action – launching you from this moment toward acting on what you have heard.
