It is hard to believe we are already starting the second semester of the 24-25 school year. We have had a great year at BES so far, and we are looking forward to all of the wonderful things our students will accomplish in 2025! The rest of the school year will fly by so here are a few reminders to keep us on track.

Attendance- The four day school week has so much information packed into just a few days per week. It is incredibly important that your child is in class everyday. Missing just part of a day can put them behind on their lessons. Please make your best effort to get your student to school on time everyday so they can keep up with the rest of the group.

Communication- Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions or concerns. This time of year gets very busy. Working with your child at home can be be a huge help. Ask questions and seek out information about how your child is doing in class. Volunteer and help out when you can.

Get some sleep-Our little learners really struggle with the long class days. Please make sure you are getting your child to bed early and turning off all electronics. The kids need mental down time too!

Turn off the TV and tablets and put them to bed with a great bed time book. Getting enough rest makes our day at school much more pleasant for everyone.

Middle of the year benchmark testing- January is a busy assessment time. Teachers will be checking in with benchmark test to see the progress we are making so far. This is a great time to check in with the teacher and go over the data. After the assessments are completed, you should get a report from the classroom teacher. Please feel free to ask questions. See the schedule above to know when your child will be taking their assessments.
