SEPTEMBER IS ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH
Student Pledge
EJ encourages all students and families to commit to the following pledges:
Because attending class prepares me for success in school and in life. If I attend school regularly, I know I can learn to:
- Read well by the end of third grade
- Graduate from high school
- Choose the career for me
- Choose the training or college education I need to help me be what I want to be
I promise to show up to school each day ready to learn, and do whatever I can to improve my attendance and help my friends get to school, too.
Adult Pledge
Because I know that daily attendance is critical to student success โ from kindergarten all the way through high school graduation โ and leads to students who can read on grade level, graduate high school on time, and choose the training, education and careers that best suit their goals, and because when we work together across education, families, communities, civic organizations and business, we can accomplish more than working alone.
When we show up for them, our students can show up and succeed.
I pledge to help students in my life show up to school every day ready to learn, to keep learning myself, and to do what I can to help students increase attendance and decrease chronic absenteeism.

STUDENT SUCCESS SKILLS
Student Success Skills (SSS) are Fulton County School's standards for the skills needed to demonstrate mastery of academic and interpersonal skills needed for college, career, and life success. These six skills are taught in all schools, by all teachers, to all students. Each skill has corresponding standards across grade levels.
WHAT IS TITLE I?
Title I is a federally funded program designed to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic standards and state academic assessments. The Title I program focuses on the academic needs of the most disadvantaged students.
Note: If you need to translate these articles you can use Chrome, a right mouse click on โTranslate to Englishโ, a pop up window will open, select the 3 dots, and select the other language.
On August 28, 2025, at 6:00 Pm EJ held its Annual Title I Parent Meeting.
We invited all parents, families, and community stakeholders to an evening of learning and sharing about our Title I program including our parent and family engagement, the school wide plan, the school-family compacts, Title I budget, and the parents' requirements. If you missed the meeting, you could still go through the presentation and email question to Frank Perez at perezf@fultonschools.org

The Title I mandate requires us to collect feedback of all events and from all attendees. Please provide feedback for us on a timely manner for the Annual Title I Meeting by using the links below.
