When You Wonder, You're Learning

This spring, our state school librarian organization organized a book study around "When You Wonder, You're Learning," by Pittsburgh authors Gregg Behr and Ryan Rydzewski. I recommend this to all educators and parents. It made made me think about the environment I foster for students and my own child, and the language I use in my interactions. I added my copy to our professional collection if you would like to check it out to read over the summer.

Most popular print books this nine weeks Most popular print books this nine weeks

The top three spots this quarter were swept by Alan Gratz, the wildly popular historical fiction author. His newest, Heroes, is about Pearl Harbor and was released this spring. Our students love his fast-paced narratives told from multiple perspectives.

Rounding out the top ten most popular books this quarter are some of the Five Nights at Freddy's books, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder (this series is one of our most popular among mystery fans), and the Percy Jackson series (experiencing a resurgence due to the new Disney+ series).
