Greetings Warrior Families!
I hope you are doing well and enjoying a wonderful weekend!
What an exciting week for our Warriors! This past week, we partnered with our Boys' Latin High School to take 40 young men on an unforgettable HBCU College Tour! Our Warriors had the incredible opportunity to visit Winston-Salem State University, Tuskegee University, Dillard University, Xavier University, and Southern University!
At Boys' Latin, our mission of preparing boys for success in college and beyond is more than just words—it's a commitment we strive to bring to life through meaningful experiences and opportunities! These college tours allow our young men to envision their futures, explore possibilities, and see firsthand what they can achieve through hard work, scholarship, and brotherhood. Winter Uniform Reminder
Our Winter Uniform season has officially begun! Families, please review the uniform information below and ensure that your Warrior arrives at school each day dressed in his FULL winter uniform. As outlined in our Boys' Latin Student and Family Handbook, wearing the complete school uniform is a daily expectation. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our young men are prepared, confident, and representing Boys' Latin with pride!
Warrior Families, please be reminded that Boys' Latin WILL BE OPEN for regular instruction on both of the following days:
Tuesday, November 3rd – Election Day: SCHOOL IS OPEN!
Wednesday, November 11th – Veterans Day: SCHOOL IS OPEN!
These are regular school days, NOT days off for students! We recognize that some schools may be closed in observance of these dates, so we want to be especially clear that Boys' Latin will remain OPEN on both days. Thank you for helping us protect every instructional opportunity and maintain strong student attendance!
Boys' Latin will, however, be CLOSED for all students in grades 6–12 from Monday, November 23rd through Friday, November 27th for Thanksgiving Break.
Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and commitment to the success of our young men! We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you as we continue building a school community where every Warrior feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach his fullest potential.

Please remember that your warrior's attendance matters and our goal is always 95%! Be sure to support them in showing up each day! Let's push through Quarter 2 with 95% or higher daily attendance!
Please Note: Boys' Latin will be OPEN for all students on Tuesday, November 3rd for Election Day and Wednesday, November 11th for Veterans Day! Please be sure that your warriors are present on both days!
Picture Day Retakes will be held on Thursday, December 17th for all students who did not take photos OR who were not dressed in proper Full Winter Uniform! Please be reminded all students must be in full Winter uniform for Picture Day! We will share an official makeup form closer to the date!
We have noticed an increase in DoorDash and Uber Eats deliveries for students during the school day. Please be advised that food delivery services, including DoorDash and Uber Eats, are NOT permitted for students for any reason.
To ensure students have lunch each day, families may:
Send their Warrior to school with a packed lunch.
Personally bring lunch to the school for their student.
Have their Warrior take advantage of our free school lunch program available each day.
Moving forward, any DoorDash, Uber Eats, or other third-party food deliveries for students will not be accepted. Thank you for your cooperation and partnership in helping us maintain a safe, structured, and uninterrupted school day for all Warriors.
Celebrating Our Warrior Parents Who Have Graduated

ECS Community Fall Fest
This is a great way to get involved with one of our community partners providing more information and resources, including distribution of Thanksgiving meal kits for the holidays. This event takes place THIS SATURDAY November 7th at 10am! Please CLICK HERE for more information and to register!
Haddington Green Corridor
Be sure to stop by the Haddington Green Corridor - Greening Design pop-up on Saturday, November 21st, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, for the vacant lots project at 62nd and Vine Street!
As a reminder, ALL STUDENTS are expected to be in full Winter Uniform! As a reminder, full Winter uniform includes: Burgundy Sweater with Boys' Latin Logo, Blue Oxford button down shirt (shirts must be tucked in at all times), Navy & Maroon striped tie, Khaki Pants, Black dress shoes (no sneakers), Black Belt and Black socks. Please be aware that students are not allowed to come to school out of uniform and change into their uniform in school. Students are only allowed to wear gym uniforms on the days when they have gym. Additionally, students are not allowed to change their clothes prior to exiting the school for dismissal. Students must arrive in full uniform and exit in fully uniform.

Families, it is imperative that ALL students have there laptops each day. Please be reminded that there is a $25 Chromebook Fee that must be paid in order for your warrior to receive a laptop! If you have not paid the laptop fee, please CLICK HERE! For any technology related questions or concerns regarding lost or broken laptops please email support@boyslatin.org!
The Tech Support Office is open for students on Tuesdays & Thursdays during lunch!
If you're up for it, please follow and engage with the school on Instagram (@boyslatinofphiladelphia), Facebook (@boyslatin), and/or TikTok (@boyslatinofphiladelphia), and share one of the school's recent posts/reels/stories on your own social media accounts.
If you're not up for sharing on your social media accounts or you do not have social media, no worries! Please consider spreading the message when you're out and about in Philadelphia. Word of mouth is still the most effective student recruitment tool!
