HTHS Celebrates Raindrop Car Wash "Leading the Pack" Winner: DR. BEN COOK!
Each month, Faculty and Staff send out “shout outs” to their fellow colleagues for the amazing work they have done or the incredible spirit they displayed. It is featured in our “Week Ahead Newsletter." All the featured staff are then placed into a drawing. One name emerges each month for the "Leading the Pack" honor, along with a fantastic prize courtesy of Raindrop Car Wash. A huge round of applause for DR. BEN COOK! Also, thank you to Raindrop Car Wash for their generous sponsorship of this new and exciting award.
Stay tuned each month as we celebrate more deserving Faculty and Staff Members!
A Note from Administration
HTHS Community,
It is our sincerest hope that all of our students and their families are returning for the second semester of the 2025-26 school year feeling well rested, rejuvenated, and ready to learn. We look forward to welcoming students tomorrow, January 6th, 2026, and want to share a few reminders and announcements.
Attendance
Your attendance matters! Please arrive at school on time each day and be punctual to your classes. Submit parent notes and doctor’s excuses within three days of your absence to HTHSattendance@tcsk12.us.
Electronic Devices
The FOCUS Act is still in effect, meaning all personal electronic devices (cell phones, ipads, computers, etc.) are not permitted in our classrooms and hallways. All personal devices must be left in students’ lockers or vehicles for the full school day. Headphones and airpods may only be used in classrooms at the teacher’s discretion and may not be used or worn outside of class. Students who are wearing headphones or airpods will be presumed to have their cell phone on their person.
HTHS Artificial Intelligence Procedures
Please read the attached statement on our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Procedures. Students will sign a copy of the document this week, stating that they understand and agree to the procedures therein. We ask that all parents and guardians also familiarize themselves with HTHS’s expectations and procedures concerning AI.
Wishing you a Happy New Year and much success in 2026,
HTHS Administration
Important Dates and Reminders
Save the Date!
HTHS Sadie Hawkins Dance will be held Saturday, January 24th and tickets are on sale now on Go Fan! The PTSO is excited about another fantastic fundraiser. The dance is in the HTHS lunchroom from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm. You must be a HTHS student to attend and your Go Fan ticket on your phone is your ticket. You can buy your date’s ticket but you must provide their name. Once the student has entered the dance, they cannot leave and re-enter. It is called Sadie’s, so traditionally the girls ask the boys to the dance, but boys can definitely ask girls to the dance! It is semi-formal. Waters and a light dessert will be served during the dance. Students need to eat before they arrive at the dance!
