PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Good morning Boyer Families,
You may notice something different if you drive in the back parking lot. HEB and Texas by Nature had a tree planting event at Boyer on Friday. With the help from Boyer staff, volunteers and Student Council members, over 20 native Texas trees were planted. The Texas by Nature representative talked about how to properly care for trees in the Texas weather and shared her experiences as an environmental scientist. They are still working on putting some mulch down but the trees are a great addition to our campus.
Our Student Council is not only helping our Boyer community but the Prosper community as well. They will be collecting canned goods during our Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, October 29th. See the flyer below for specific items to donate. Thank you to our Student Council sponsors, Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Hutchinson.
Honor Choir
The Prosper ISD Music Department is proud to announce open auditions for the amazing district choral ensemble, the 380 Honor Choir. This group will consist of the most talented 5th grade singers from all 20 of our elementary school. Selected students will attend rehearsals throughout January and February, culminating in a concert performance. Click HERE for the Boyer audition sign-up. The audition sign-up deadline is November 1st. Click the button below for more details for parents about the fee and time commitments.
Yearbook Cover Contest
It is time for our annual Yearbook Cover Contest. Click HERE for all the details. Please read all of the contest rules carefully. The entry due date is Tuesday, October 20th. You will contact Ms. Alyea if you have any questions about the contest.
Our 5th graders go to Sky Ranch next week and it looks like perfect weather! Thank you in advance to all of our parent chaperones that are attending this trip.
Please look over the Important Dates section carefully. Some dates have changed from last week and Fast Pass links added. As always, reach out to your classroom teacher or front office with any questions.
Have a nice weekend!
Mr. Bill
