Multicultural Affinity Space
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This spring we will be offering a Multicultural Affinity Breakfast Bunch at Hiawatha for students interested in celebrating and honoring the rich diversity of our school community. This group will provide students with a safe and supportive environment to explore, share and learn about different cultures, traditions and languages through games and hands-on activities. This group also offers students a chance to build community with peers.
The Multicultural Affinity Space will be hosted by Hamsa Mossi from Spectrum and ADL and will meet once a month in the mornings. If you are interested in having your child participate, or if you’d like more information, please contact me at ptipton@ewsd.org or Principal Katherine Grykien.
Thank you,
Porchea

Fine Arts Night Information
Hiawatha third graders are invited to participate in the EWSD Fine Arts Night on Thursday, April 10! Students from all our district schools will perform music together, including choral, orchestra and band ensembles. Our participating third graders will sing with other students in grades 3-12.
Fine Arts Night gives students a great opportunity to get to know other students from around the district and perform alongside our older and more experienced musicians. This is one of our district’s favorite performances of the year!
All interested third grade students will attend the chorus rehearsal on the morning of April 10th. A permission slip will be sent home. Please return it if your student is planning to take part. We are also looking for a few parent chaperones to go to EHS along with us that morning. Please let me know if you are willing to volunteer!
We look forward to sharing our learning with you in this amazing event. More information and details will be sent home shortly.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at ksafer@ewsd.org.
