Parents, Teachers, and Students,

We hope you had an enjoyable Fall Break - and we welcome you back for academic Quarter 2. Congratulations to our Bobcat Swimmers who had an amazing showing at the state championships last weekend, earning some personal and team bests and coming just shy of the podium. We're so proud of you!

We need your support for Trunk or Treat!

Best Buddies and Youth and Government students are partnering up to host another fabulous Trunk or Treat event Saturday, October 25, in the Bluffton High School parking lot from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. We would love the support of clubs, local businesses, and community members who would like to sponsor “trunks” for the Trunk or Treat event.

Two options for trunks are available.

Option 1- Trunk sponsors can decorate their vehicle’s trunk and hand out goodies themselves.

Option 2- SPONSOR A TRUNK by donating $100 worth of candy. A special trunk will be designed by our students and will display your business logo or name as the sponsoring trunk!

Please reach out to Ms. Phillips for questions at jessica.phillips@beaufort.k12.sc.us and sign up with this link.

Hispanic Heritage Month Showcase

President's Council members completed their first service project of the year in support of Bluffton Self Help to ensure the pantry shelves stay stocked.

The President's Council represents all clubs at Bluffton High as a way to improve communication and support for the many activities and service projects the students undertake each year.

Purchase Spirit Wear

To ensure a safe and secure environment at BCSD athletic events, all spectators and athletes entering our venues will be asked to remove hoods or face coverings that obscure one’s identity, such as balaclava-style masks. This practice, which is common at collegiate athletic events, will help us maintain safety by ensuring individuals can be easily identified if needed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Please reach out to District Athletic Director Dr. Carlos Cave for any questions.

Registration is open for the STAMP (formerly AAPPL) test. This is one step in a two-step process for students to qualify for the SC Seal of Biliteracy. Students test in reading, listening, writing, and speaking in a language other than English. If a student tests in the Fall and does not pass all 4 components, they can register for the Spring test and only take the portions they did not pass.

English proficiency is demonstrated by having a B average in English Language Arts courses or by scoring a 4.4 or higher on the WIDA ACCESS test within the past six years.

Students who qualify for the South Carolina Seal of Biliteracy will receive a cord for graduation and the SC Seal of Biliteracy credential. SIGN UP FORM LINK register by Oct 14th!
