TRUNK OR TREAT
Friday, October 30, we will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat and Halloween costume parade and parties. Events will start at 10:00 till lunch/recess and everyone is welcome to attend. Our students will parade in costumes through the school for their peers, then we will take our parade outside for parents to see the adorable and creative costumes. Students in the costume parade then go down the Trunk or Treat street where community partners will pass out candy for students. Following the Trunk or Treat street, students will return to their classrooms where they can celebrate with each other during class parties. For specific information on classroom parties, please reach out to the specific teacher. Students are encouraged to bring their own candy collecting bags and we will have some at the school too for students to use.
The best place for parents to view the parade is in the main parking lot or in front of the school. Students will parade in front of the school, into the parking lot, and back down the bus loop.
If you are joining us for the parade and are not coming inside the school, you will not need to check in at the office. If you are able to stay for your child’s classroom party, please be sure you check in at the front office. We are expecting a lot of guests and appreciate your patience as we get everyone checked in.
COSTUME GUIDLINES
No weapon or weapon facsimiles
No gore
Masks are allowed during the parade and parties but are not allowed to be worn on the bus.
School clothes must be brought to school so students can resume a normal school day following the parties.
Face painting is allowed though all face paint must be removed after the parties.
To help remove face paint, please send your student with plenty of make-up remover wipes or products. Removing make-up with school hand soap is extremely difficult and takes a very long time.
Please paint faces at home before students get on the bus or arrive at school. There will not be enough time to paint faces at school.
Students need to be independent in getting in and out of their costumes.
If students or parents have any questions about whether or not a costume would be allowed, please reach out to Mr. Johnson.
Parents are encouraged to dress up too and please follow the same expectations that we have for kids.

9:40 - 9:55 breakfast & getting ready for the parade
10:00 - 10:30 parade and Trunk or Treat street
Class parties
10:30 - 11:30 Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd
10:30 - 12:15 4th, 5th and 6th
After parties costumes come off, face paint comes off, and we return to the academic day

SMARTtag
Transportation uses SMARTtag to communicate with parents about bus pick up and drop off. You can access online or download the app on our phone. By using this program you will have access to see exactly when your student gets on and off the bus. Also, you will be able to see any delays in bus routes that may affect your day. We encourage all parents that have students riding the bus download SMARTtag.
Applying for Free or Reduced
Families who wish to apply for free or reduced-price lunches under the National School Lunch Program must submit a new application at the beginning of each school year. The application is available online at www.myschoolapps.com. Please allow at least 10 days from the time the application is received by our school district for processing.
*If your family qualifies for this program other school fees (such as transportation, school fees, ect.) may be covered as well. *
FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Free food bank every last Saturday of the month. Open to the public! If you and your family are in need please join us.
