A sincere thank you to all our Redwood vikings for their mature participation in the Great American Shakeout on 10/16. It was a good opportunity for students and staff for practice safety for our campus.

  • As a general reminder we remind all families to check and update their emergency contacts on Q Parent Connect.
  • If there is a need to release students from campus for any reason- Students will only be released to parent/guardians or emergency contacts listed on Q Connect.
  • Make sure you have local contacts listed under "emergency contacts".
Anyone who needs help accessing their Q Parent Connect portal can contact the Redwood counseling office for login support. Don't wait until an emergency, check those contacts now.

Cell Phone Policy Update - Off and Away At ALL Times Cell Phone Policy Update - Off and Away At ALL Times

Starting Quarter 2 on Monday 10/20 all cell phones and personal electronics must be off and away from when you ENTER campus, until after you LEAVE campus. This is a change from the previous practice that allowed students to use phones on campus before and after school.

Why the change?

  • The OFF and AWAY rule is being amended in a continued effort to support safety of student personal belongings, and foster positive social interactions on campus, i.e; talking/playing. :-)
  • Starting Monday, October 20th all student phones, air pods and other electronic devices must be turned off and put away at all times on campus. Previously students were permitted to have phones on before and after the school day, but now we are enforcing phones off upon entry onto the school gate and off until exit of campus at the end of their school day.
We thank our community for helping staff continue to make a safer and stronger environment for your students!
