Week Two — Here We Go, Bobcats! 💙💛

What a wonderful first week of school! It has been so good to have our students back on campus, see our classrooms full of learning and laughter, and watch everyone begin settling into the rhythm of a new school year. We are excited to keep that momentum going as we head into week two!

Reminders:

  • A few important reminders as we get started: Hot Lunch will not begin until after Labor Day, so please continue sending a lunch with your student each day. 🍕Exception: Friday Hot Lunch will be Pizza this week. Includes salad, fruit and a drink. We will also have our snack sale which includes chips, ring pops, candy bars, etc. Prices range from $0.50 - 2.00. You can send cash for snack sales or charge to your account, please let your teacher know if your student may charge.
  • We also want to remind families that jewelry is not permitted at school per BAS policy—please see the information below for more details.
  • Bobcat Athletics are underway! ⚽🏐 Soccer and volleyball have begun, so be sure to check out the sports information in this week's Bulletin for practice details, schedules, and ways to get involved.

Thank you for helping us start the year strong. We’re looking forward to another great week of learning, growing, and making memories together.

Let’s have a great week, Bobcats! 🐾

His Story, Our Joy 💙💛

Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is “His Story, Our Joy,” inspired by Psalm 126:3:

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

Throughout this year, we want our students to recognize that they are part of a much bigger story—God’s story. We’ll celebrate the great things He has already done, look for the ways He is working in our lives today, and discover the joy that comes from knowing and trusting Him.

Our prayer is that every Bobcat will grow this year not only academically, but also in their relationship with Jesus—recognizing His goodness, seeing His hand in their own story, and sharing His joy with others.

His Story. Our Joy. 🐾

BAS Jewelry Policy Reminder

August 16, 2026

Dear Parents,

As we begin a new school year together, we would like to offer a gentle reminder regarding our school’s jewelry policy.

As part of our commitment to Christian modesty and simplicity, students and staff at our Seventh-day Adventist schools do not wear jewelry while on campus, with the exception of wedding rings. This is a long-standing practice within our Adventist school system and is included in our school handbook.

We understand that jewelry is a personal choice for many families, and we recognize that this can be a sensitive topic. Our intention is never to offend or pass judgment on anyone’s personal preferences. We deeply value each of our families and appreciate the many different backgrounds and experiences represented in our school community.

Beginning Monday, August 24, if a student arrives at school wearing jewelry, their teacher will simply and kindly ask them to remove it. We know how easy it is to forget—especially during busy school mornings! The item will be placed safely in a small bag and put in the student’s backpack to take home.

Thank you so much for your understanding, cooperation, and support as we work together to uphold the standards of our school while continuing to create a loving and welcoming environment for every child and family.

We are looking forward to a wonderful school year together! If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or Mrs. Suess. We would be happy to speak with you.

With appreciation,

BAS Administration & Teachers
