PreK - 10/23 & 30
Dear families,
This month, our PreK students have been learning all about community helpers—especially our firemen and police officers! What a wonderful opportunity it has been for our little learners to see the people in our community who help keep us safe each day. During these visits, we remind the children that listening and following directions is one of the most important ways we can stay safe. Whether it’s during a fire drill, on the playground, or in the classroom, listening carefully helps protect us and those around us.
We also take time to talk about how Jesus keeps us safe. The Bible tells us in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Just as our firefighters and police officers protect us in our community, we can always trust that Jesus is watching over us and caring for us. He gives us peace and courage, even when things feel a little scary or uncertain.
It’s such a blessing to teach our students that safety isn’t just about rules—it’s about love, care, and trust. We listen because we love, and we follow directions because we know it helps everyone stay safe—just as Jesus lovingly watches over us every day.

Officers Jake and Isaiah visited all three of our classrooms.

We even went outside to see the squad car and hear the siren.
