Parental Consent Information
School Counseling Consent Form
Dear Parent/Guardian,
The 89th Texas Legislature recently passed Senate Bill 12, which requires school districts to notify parents and guardians of staff services related to mental health. This law also provides parents/guardians the opportunity to opt out before any mental health-related services are provided to their child.
To comply with this requirement, La Vernia ISD is providing families with the Notice of Consent for School Counseling form.
This form must be completed online using the link provided below
Consent given through this form is effective for the current school year unless rescinded earlier.
A separate form must be completed for each student enrolled in La Vernia ISD.
Please use the following link to complete and submit the form:

Your partnership is essential as we work to provide safe, supportive, and effective services for every student in La Vernia ISD. Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter and for your continued support of our schools.
If you have any questions about this notice or the services provided, please reach out to your childβs campus counselor.
Sincerely,
La Vernia ISD
Health-Related Services Consent Form
To ensure your child receives the care they need at school, please complete and return the Health-Related Services Consent Form ASAP!
π Texas law (SB 12) now requires written parental consent before school staff can provide any health-related services.
βWithout this consent, we cannot:
-Evaluate illness or injury
-Administer first aid
-Monitor chronic or acute conditions
-Coordinate health services
-Conduct state-required screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.)
π¬ Forms were sent home with studentsβcheck those backpacks! π«βοΈ

Library Materials Consent Information
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please take a few moments to read the attached letter regarding recent updates to state laws (HB 900 and SB 13) that impact school library materials. The letter outlines how La Vernia ISD is implementing these requirements and provides important information on parental permissions and student access to library resources.
Thank you for your attention and partnership as we work together to support our students.
Sincerely,
LVISD Communications

π»π Weβre gearing up for something big β the Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). This election allows voters to decide on a measure that could generate additional funding for competitive pay and ongoing maintenance expenses β without adding new debt.

β
Helps us offer more competitive pay compared to surrounding districts
Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) November 2025 ballot language
Important note about the ballot language:
State law requires the ballot to state this is a βtax increase,β even though the total tax rate would be lower than the current rate.
If the VATRE is approved, the total tax rate will be $1.0519.
If the VATRE is not approved, the tax rate will remain at $1.0619 (the current 2024β2025 rate).
This reflects a 1-cent decrease in the total tax rate if approved.
