The Parent Rebel Review
Week of October 26
One Day. One Period. One Minute. One Assignment at a Time. 🧡💙
Rebels, THIS is what making a difference looks like!
Sometimes, the greatest victories in education aren't measured by test scores or report cards. They are found in the small moments when a student accomplishes something they couldn't do before.
This week, I received a message from a teacher celebrating a student who was the FIRST to complete his assignment! To some, this may seem like a small accomplishment, but to that teacher, that student, and to me, it represents something much bigger: GROWTH!
These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.
One day at a time. One period at a time. One minute at a time. One assignment at a time.
Every interaction matters. Every word of encouragement matters. Every opportunity to learn matters. Our teachers are making a difference, sometimes without even realizing the impact they are having.
We will continue to challenge, encourage, support, and believe in our students. We will NOT stop until EVERY Rebel grows academically!
Thank you, Rebels, for refusing to give up on our students, for celebrating the small victories, and for understanding that those small victories eventually lead to BIG results.
Rigor Because of Relationships!
WIN FOR the Valley! 🧡💙

🎉 Congratulations to our Champion of the Month, Mrs. Payne! 🏆 Your dedication to our students, support for your colleagues, and commitment to our Rebel community shine through in everything you do. Thank you for leading with heart #FORtheValley…⤵️
Kudos to Mrs. V. Ramirez
I would love to recognize V. Ramirez with a KUDOS! She is one of those teachers whose genuine love and care for her students can be seen in everything she does. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure her students feel supported, valued, and encouraged. The strong relationships she has built with her students are truly special, and you can see the trust and respect they have for her.
What makes her impact even more meaningful is how deeply our families and community value her. Parents recognize the care, patience, and dedication she pours into their children, along with the meaningful teaching she provides each day. V. Ramirez makes a lasting difference not only through what she teaches, but through the way she makes her students feel cared for and believed in. We are incredibly fortunate to have her at RMS, and she is so deserving of this recognition! ❤️
Kudos to Mrs. Ortega
I would love to recognize J. Ortega with a KUDOS! She truly gives her all to our students and our campus. No matter how much she is juggling, she is always willing to step in, help, and go the extra mile. She knows her students beyond just their names. She knows their needs, their progress, and even their data, which speaks volumes about how invested she is in helping each of them succeed.
What I admire most is the genuine rapport she has built with students across all grade levels. Kids know she cares because she shows it through her actions every single day. She stays late to participate in campus activities, attends games to support our students, and is often here early, ready to do it all over again. She gives so much of herself to make sure our students feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Ortega is one of those people who simply shows up, again and again, even if some days she is running on caffeine and pure dedication! ☕❤️ Her heart for our students and commitment to our campus do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly lucky to have her, and she is so deserving of this recognition!
Kudos to Mrs. Hayes
I would love to recognize Mrs. Hayes with a KUDOS! The care she has for our students goes far beyond the classroom. She takes the time to sit and eat lunch with her kids, check in with them, and truly get to know what is going on in their lives. Because she pays such close attention, she is often able to recognize when a student may need a little extra social-emotional support and makes sure our counseling team is aware so we can support that student together.
That kind of care means more than people realize. Mrs. Hayes reminds our students every day that they are seen, valued, and cared for, not just as students, but as people. As a counselor, it means the world to have a teacher I can collaborate with so closely and who shares the same heart for our kids.
Mrs. Hayes, thank you for loving our students so well and for always being such a wonderful partner to the counseling team. I am truly grateful for you, and I have to say, I am especially honored to have made "the wall" this week! ❤️😂
Kudos to Coach Shadrick

Hi Rebels!

I also want our students to know that they have a safe and supportive place to come when they need someone to talk to or help them work through a difficult day. Nurse Sunshine's Corner
Rebels,
Would you know what to do if someone were experiencing life-threatening bleeding?
Severe bleeding is a leading cause of preventable death following an injury, and significant blood loss can become life-threatening within minutes. Knowing how to recognize and respond to a bleeding emergency can make a critical difference while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.
Learning basic bleeding-control skills can help prepare you to respond confidently when every minute matters.
If you are interested in attending Stop the Bleed training, please refer to the attached flyer for additional information and contact details.
