We’re excited to share that Field Day has been rescheduled and will take place on Thursday, May 28th! We warmly invite our fifth grade families to join us for one of our most cherished traditions—the Fifth Grade Clap Out—on the last day of school, Thursday, May 28th. Our students will take their final lap through the halls of Welch Elementary, cheered on by staff and younger classmates, before heading outside to circle the back of the building at approximately 3:15 PM. Families are encouraged to gather there to celebrate this special milestone as we honor their transition from elementary to middle school. It’s a meaningful moment filled with pride, reflection, and excitement for what’s ahead—we hope you can join us!

Registration for the upcoming school year is now open, and we encourage all families to complete the process as soon as possible! Early registration helps us plan for class placements, staffing, and resources to ensure a smooth and successful start for every student. Taking a few minutes to register now makes a big difference in helping us prepare for another amazing year together. Thank you for your partnership and for helping us get ready to make next year great!

Our PTA plays a vital role in creating meaningful experiences for our students and supporting our school community—and we’re looking for dedicated parents to step into PTA Board positions for the upcoming year! Serving on the board is a great way to get involved, share your ideas, and make a lasting impact at Welch. Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a passion for helping our school thrive, your voice and leadership matter. We encourage you to consider this rewarding opportunity to help strengthen our community and make a difference for all of our White Tigers!

As we look ahead to next year, we are still in need of a Treasurer for the 2026-2027 PTA Board.

This role is essential for the PTA to continue operating and supporting our students, staff, and school events. Without this position filled, we will not be able to function as a PTA next year.

If you’ve ever considered getting involved, now is the time. You don’t have to have prior experience, just a willingness to help and be part of a great team. Please reach out to the Welch PTA (welchelementarypta@gmail.com) or Sarah Nowak with any questions or interest!

Please see the link below for information on ordering a school supply kit for the 2026-2027 school year. Orders are due by May 31st at the following link:

Get ready for one of the most fun mornings of the year!

Students will run, walk, and get covered in color while enjoying music, energy, and a super fun atmosphere with their friends. We will also have face painting and henna art from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, as well as community vendors to explore.

This is always a favorite event for kids, and you won’t want to miss it!

Please remember to send your child to school with a snack every day. A healthy snack helps students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn throughout the day.

Our office has kept a small supply of extra snacks for students who occasionally forget, but our supply is out We kindly ask families to help by packing a snack each morning so that all students have what they need to get through the day successfully.

Thank you for your support in helping keep our students fueled and ready to learn!

We have a few exciting things happening in the next few weeks, plus some important updates to share:
