Fun in FACS!

Students in Mrs. Lehrke's FACS class learned about working together as a team to reach a goal and how it relates to employability. Students communicated and worked together to create structures using marshmallows and spaghetti noodles.

Get’cha Head in the Game!

Mrs. Snaza lead choir students in learning the process of keeping a steady beat and the importance of knowing the part each person plays in the entire group using basketballs. Students then composed their own "music" using basketballs!

2024-2025 Semester Testing Update 2024-2025 Semester Testing Update

Guidelines:

· All students will take semester tests.

· Staff will give a semester test for each course taught during the last 10 days prior to the semester ending.

· Staff will schedule semester tests accordingly so students will not have back-to-back tests or more than two semester tests in one day.

· Semester tests will count no more than 5-10% of a student’s grade. * 9th grade semester tests will not be weighted and will be included with other course grades.

Benefits for students, families, and staff:

· The semester test format, which is spread out over a period of two weeks will provide students with more instructional and practice time between tests.

· All students will now have the experience of taking a test on the material covered in a semester, similar to the tests they will be taking if they choose to attend any post-secondary institution.

· Provides our students who have good attendance with more flexibility for appointments and family obligations.

· Provides our staff with assessment data from all students that will be used to identify both strengths and areas in need of improvement.

· Semester tests will only be used to enhance the student’s final grade.

The high school leadership team and I thank you for your support as we try to provide our students with the best possible opportunities to grow and be successful. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!

Mr. Frederick
