Arbor Park Weekly Update

Hello Arbor Park Families,
As we settle into the groove of the new school year, we want to share a few tips, reminders, and updates to keep drop-offs and pick-ups running smoothly and safely for everyone!
Carline Tips & Tricks
The Route & Timing: A quick reminder that our afternoon carline starts at the North Administration Office before moving to Arbor Park once our buses begin to load. The Arbor Park entrance remains closed until after 3:05 PM. This setup cuts down on traffic congestion around the school and keeps our students much safer.
Pro-Tip for Dashboard Signs: Displaying your window sign (with your student’s name, grade, and teacher) on your windshield or passenger window makes a huge difference! Signs lying flat on the dash are tough for our staff to read from a distance. Putting your sign in a window, allows us to spot you instantly, notify the classroom teacher, and get your child ready to roll.
- Skip the Wait (Walkers First!): If you’re crunched for time or just prefer to avoid the line, consider parking (legally) off-campus and having your child meet you, or walking up to meet them at one of our supervised crosswalks. Because we stagger dismissal, our walkers head out first alongside bus riders—meaning they are often off-campus before the carline even begins loading! Check out the map below for our designated crosswalks. If you’d like to update your child's dismissal plan, just reach out to Ms. Megan in the office. If you'd like to talk through your options, please give Mr. Johnson a call.
Safety First
Morning Arrival: Please remember that our doors open at 7:45 AM. We do not have adult supervision on campus before 7:45 AM, and our crossing guards are on duty from 7:45 AM to 8:00 AM. For your child's safety, please make sure they aren't arriving before staff are outside to greet them.
Neighborhood Driving: We have many wonderful students who walk to and from the neighborhood surrounding Arbor Park. Please drive with extra caution both on campus and through the adjacent streets.
Fun Run Countdown
Our biennial Fun Run kicks off one week from today! Students will start collecting pledges to help us reach our fundraising goal for assemblies, field trips, teacher appreciation, and our outdoor classroom space. They’ll earn those pledges during our run on Friday, September 18th at the high school track. Take a look at the grade-level schedule below so you can plan to come out and cheer them on!
A Quick Reminder for Visitors
Just a reminder that all adults and guests visiting Arbor Park need to check in at the office when they arrive. For everyone's safety, visitors should enter through the gym doors and stop in the office to sign in before heading anywhere else in the building.
Thank you for helping us keep our school safe and making sure we know who is in the building!
