Our hallways have been filled with energy, enthusiasm, and the sounds of students reconnecting with friends, meeting teachers, and beginning new learning experiences. We are incredibly proud of how our students have embraced the start of the year and grateful for the support of our families. On Monday, we welcomed the Class of 2033 to Jones! Students had the opportunity to become familiar with the building, connect with classmates they may not have been in class with before, meet the staff at Jones, and practice opening their lockers. The next three years will be a formative and exciting time in their lives, and we are thrilled to be part of their journey.

Each year, our 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to serve as mentors for incoming 6th graders as they transition to Jones. Mentors participate in a summer training session and are assigned a small group of 6th graders to support throughout the year. They connect with their groups before school begins, help them learn about Jones during 6th Grade Only Day, and participate in activities designed to foster relationships and build a sense of belonging. We appreciate Mr. Barwick and Mrs. Palmer for organizing the mentor activities and leading this group of students.

It is rewarding to watch our mentors share their excitement for JMS with a new group of students. Serving as a mentor provides a valuable opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills, serve others, and make a positive impact on our school community. We are grateful for the time, energy, and commitment this group of students brings to the program.

Thank You PTO Thank You PTO

The students appreciated the popsicles Friday at the end of the day. It was a great way to end the week.
