Week in Review…

7th & 8th GRADE BTSN – Thank you for parents who attended our Back to School Night! posted the opening presentation underneath the Weekly Update - Daily Announcements & Weekly Updates.
FALL SPORTS - We opened up our fall sports season with our first official games & matches!
COLONIAL PLAYERS - The cast is set for our first ever fall production. Mr. Fean and his team are excited to present Law & Order...but in a way you have never seen before! Mark your calendars to see the show at Holicong on November 13 & 14.
MR. FULMER DAY & CUSTODIAN APPRECIATION DAY FRIDAY - Thank you to our staff who wore the rock n roll gear & raised money for Mr. Fulmer and to the many students who wrote cards for him! This Friday we will celebrate the work that all of the custodians do to support our work behind the scenes!

Announcements & Updates...

DR. WEXLER COMMUNITY FORUM at HOLICONG– Mark your calendars for October 12th at 6:00 PM. Her team is asking that guests pre-register so they can make proper arrangements - Pre-registration.
WEDNESDAY HALF-DAY - A reminder that students have a half-day Wednesday and will be dismissed at 10:45. We will run a schedule where students will go to every class. Staff will spend the afternoon in professional development focused on MTSS and reviewing student academic data.

CLUBS MEETINGS - Clubs have started! Please take the opportunity to join a club or start a new one to get involved at Holicong!

SOFT PRETZEL SALES – Starting on Tuesdays, we will be selling soft pretzels at dismissal. This is sponsored by our Student Leadership Team and we don’t raise much money from this, but we do utilize the funds for our grade level activities to support families & offset costs.
STUDENT SERVICES PRESENTATION – Ms. Bevevino presented on behalf of the Student Services team to introduce themselves and the services the counselors provide. They also reviewed our Safe2Say, SAP, and Bullying reporting resources that are available on our website. CERT & SAFETY - We will be conducting many of our security and safety drills this week. The safety and security of our students and staff is our primary focus at Holicong and we will be reviewing our drills on a monthly basis.

CHIP APPLICATION & FREE and REDUCED LUNCH - We are encouraging our parents & guardians to review and complete the free and reduced or Children’s Health Insurance Program if you need financial or medical assistance. Please reach out to Mrs. Irrera if you have questions!

Guidelines on Homework and Summative Tasks Near Observances

The district has developed a year-long calendar of observances during the 2026-27 school year that provides guidelines on when no homework or summative tasks should be due. View guidelines

Are You or Do You Know a CB Resident 65 or Older? Become a Gold Card Member!

Did you know that CBSD residents ages 65 and up can attend many after-school events for no or minimal cost as part of the district's Gold Card Program? Gold Card membership provides cardholders free attendance at CB home athletic games (regular season), concerts, public art shows, and certain musicals. Learn more about how to apply for a Gold Card and the events open to Gold Card members.

Meet CBSD's New Director of Student Services and New Director of Specialized Educational Services

As part of a restructured Student Services Department stemming from an independent evaluation conducted last spring, CBSD is pleased to welcome Dr. Meghan Dennis as the district's new director of specialized educational services and Mrs. Cassandra Oshinsky as the district's new director of student services! Both recommended appointments are on the agenda for approval by the school board at the Sept. 24 business meeting. Learn more about Dr. Dennis and learn more about Mrs. Oshinsky.
