DHS Families:

Please see the text of the all call sent out this evening.

Good evening, this is Brooke Grafe, Dover High School Principal. I have some very sad news to share. Julio Raymundo Ramos, a 10th grade student, died by suicide today. With his family’s blessing, we are sharing this information with you to share at home with your children. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.

In school tomorrow and in the coming days, we will be providing support for all students. School counselors and community based counselors will be on site and available for any student.

We recognize that students, families, and staff may be experiencing a range of emotions, and we encourage everyone to check in with one another and reach out to a trusted adult or school counselor for support.

Help is available, and no one has to navigate difficult moments alone. If you’re having a hard time or are worried about someone you care about, you can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 24/7 to connect with a trained counselor and receive confidential support.

Julio’s family, friends, and our entire school community are in our hearts. Thank you for your continued support of one another.
