Susan B. Anthony School News

Hello SBA Families! Can you believe that it is already November? Our school year is going by fast, as we are in our second week of the 2nd Quarter. Students are learning and growing under the guidance of our awesome teachers! We are thankful for all the adults in our building that make a difference every day!

Next week we will observe Veteran's Day on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. There is NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. If you know a veteran, please take a minute to thank them for their service to our country.

*Note that there IS school on Monday, Nov. 10th.*

We have a few other fun activities in November with our 5th Grade Music Concert, 4th/5th Grade Orchestra & 5th Grade Band concerts, and Thanksgiving Break. We have another family night coming up on Friday, Dec. 5th with our Mystery Reader event. More information to come about that fun night.

One goal on the Susan B. Anthony School Improvement Plan (SIP) is to have an attendance rate of 95% each day. Our data from the 1st Quarter shows we had an attendance rate of 93.74%. Here are the grade level attendance rates for 1st Quarter: Kdg. = 92.47%, 1st Grade = 93.13%, 2nd Grade = 94.65%, 3rd Grade = 93.21%, 4th Grade = 94.34%, and 5th Grade = 94.37%. We also have 356 students who personally met our goal attending at least 95%. We are getting close, and we need everyone's help in meeting our goal. Of course students should stay home if they have a temp or are ill. As parents, and guardians, you are your child's most important caregiver.

• THANK YOU to all families that participated in the Fall Fundraiser. Over $4800 was raised for the PTO to support our school.
• THANK YOU to all the volunteers that helped at BINGO NIGHT and to all the families that attended. It was a fun evening for all!
