Halloween
All celebrations will be held on Friday, October 30th. Classes will participate in our traditional Halloween parade starting at 2:00 followed by classroom parties.
Parents are welcome to view the parade outside by standing at the perimeter of the playground or on the south lawn (students will need to walk on the sidewalk).
All day K-5 students will wear their costumes in the afternoon only, so please make sure your child can get into his or her costume easily. Please do not send your child in full face make-up, as they will be engaging in learning throughout the rest of their school day.
Please remember that students are not allowed to bring replicas of weapons as part of their costumes. We also ask that students tone down anything that might scare our younger students (blood, etc.).
Costume masks will be allowed for the parade, but not during the classroom parties.
Just a reminder that food is not at parties. Please do not send in treats for your child to pass out.
Veteran's Day
On Wednesday, November 11th, starting at 2:00pm, Corron Elementary School will host a Veterans Day assembly to celebrate those individuals who have given so much for the freedom we enjoy. Our 5th grade students will lead our assembly to honor the veterans within our Corron community.
We need your help to honor our veteran family members who have served in two ways:
1. We invite our veterans to come to Corron to enjoy our school assembly and receive a special treat in appreciation.
2. We also ask families to submit information and photos to be part of a slideshow of our community veterans.
If you are interested in a veteran attending the assembly and/or being a part of the slideshow, please complete THIS FORM, which must be submitted by Monday, November 2nd. (Please note: This is the last day we can accept entries in order to ensure we have the supplies and slideshow ready for the celebration.)
Corron Student Leadership Gives Back!
Our Corron Student Leadership is excited to organize a donation drive to support Lazarus House in St. Charles! Lazarus House provides food, shelter, and support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or hardship right here in our community.
We are asking Corron families to help us spread kindness by donating much-needed supplies! Items that Lazarus House regularly needs include:
Paper towels and toilet paper
Disposable plates, bowls, cups, and utensils
Cleaning supplies
Personal hygiene items
Gift cards to stores such as Walmart, Target, and Meijer
You can learn more about Lazarus House and view its current needs at www.lazarushouse.net.
Donations can be brought to Corron from November 16th through November 20th.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference! Thank you, Corron families, for helping our Student Leadership show what it means to Be Kind and care for our neighbors!
