WEEK 23
Week 23 (February 3 - 7)
Happy National Counselor's Week!!
Thank you to our school counselor Dr. Woods for her dedication to building a positive school climate. We deeply appreciate the essential work she engages in to teach vital social-emotional skills, as well as your commitment to modeling effective conflict resolution and collaboration. Your lessons and leadership not only impact your students but create a powerful ripple effect that positively influences the entire school community. The difference you make is truly remarkable, and we are grateful for the example you set every day. We appreciate you!
Greetings World Class Parents/Guardians,
First, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the parents who came out to support during the Student Data Talks. Your time and dedication to your child’s education are truly appreciated. A special thank you to our media specialist, Ms. Lewis, for preparing the Georgia Milestones study guide copies. If you would like a copy, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher. I also want to thank our incredible staff for their hard work and commitment, especially for the long hours and unwavering work ethic. Your dedication is deeply appreciated.
As we continue to work together, it is critical that we remain focused on safety. Thanks to your cooperation, we’ve done well in this area, but it’s essential that we stay vigilant—especially during carpool hours. Please prioritize student safety by following the guidance of our staff during both AM and PM carpool times. We all play a role in ensuring that everyone on campus remains safe.
Additionally, I cannot emphasize enough how important student attendance is to their academic success. It’s essential that your child is present and on time every school day, unless they are genuinely ill. Our goal this year is to ensure that students miss no more than 18 days of school. While last year our overall attendance rate was 93%, our target this year is 95%, and we need your full support to help us reach this goal. Consistent attendance ensures that every student has the opportunity to receive the education they deserve.
As always, thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating and nurturing your children. Your ongoing support plays a crucial role in making a positive impact, and we truly appreciate it.
Let’s make this week count—on purpose as we continue to Go for G.O.L.D - Growing Our Learners Daily!
Proud to Serve,
-Principal Henley
