We are excited to share that the Temecula Valley Unified School District is launching a mathematics curriculum pilot at our elementary schools. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to strengthening math instruction in alignment with the updated California Mathematics Framework.

General and special education teachers across all grade levels and sites will participate in this pilot. Elementary school classrooms will explore two programs: Classroom Mathematics California and Bridges 3rd Edition.

The pilot timeline is as follows:

  • 8/17/26 - 10/21/26: Classroom Mathematics California (CMC), Curriculum Associates

  • 10/22/26 - 12/18/26: Bridges 3rd Edition, Math Learning Center

While not all students and teachers will take part in the pilot, sample textbooks and instructional materials will be available for review at each of our elementary schools, as well as at the District Office. You will have an opportunity to leave your feedback through a QR code at each of the locations. If you view the materials online, here is the link to provide feedback. Since we are engaged in math pilot #1, you can only leave feedback for Classroom Mathematics at this time. You will be able to leave feedback for Bridges 3rd Edition after October 22nd.

We value your partnership and appreciate your continued support of TVUSD’s efforts to provide high-quality educational experiences for all students.

Provide feedback for Classroom Mathematics through 10/21/26

TEMECULA, CA – The City of Temecula invites the community to come together on Friday, September 11, 2026, for a special evening of remembrance honoring the lives lost and the heroes who served during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The 25th Anniversary September 11th Remembrance will take place from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the front steps of Temecula City Hall, located at 41000 Main Street.

This year’s remembrance will offer an opportunity for the community to pause, reflect, and honor the lives forever changed by the events of September 11. The evening will feature remarks from City dignitaries, a video presentation, and a musical performance by the Great Oak High School Jazz Ensemble. Light refreshments will be provided following the program.

Temecula Mayor Jessica Alexander, a former New York City Police Department officer, brings a personal connection to the tradition of service and sacrifice that September 11 represents. She states, β€œSeptember 11th is a day we will never forget, and its significance continues to resonate deeply with those who have served in law enforcement and public safety. Having served as a New York City police officer, I have a profound respect for the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger to protect others. Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the lives that were lost, remember the families and communities forever changed, and recognize the extraordinary courage and unity that emerged from that day. This event is a time for the Temecula community to come together to remember, reflect, and ensure that the stories of September 11 are never forgotten.”

The City encourages residents of all ages to join together for this meaningful evening as Temecula honors those who lost their lives, recognizes the bravery and service of first responders, and reflects on the enduring spirit of compassion, courage, and unity that followed one of the most defining moments in our nation's history.
