10.25.26 Family Newsletter
October 25, 2026
Happy Sunday Gator Families! We hope everyone was able to pull those fall sweaters out as this cold weather may be here to stay for the week. As a reminder, as the weather does change, we highly recommend putting your child's name in their sweatshirts/jackets, etc. This helps us if they end up in the lost and found.
This week is Red Ribbon Week. Join us in the dress up days as they are listed below! Reminder, dress code still applies.
PTO is also having their BOO Gram sales. Please click their link below if you are interested in buying one for your student or your student sending one or two to a friend. Reach out to them directly if you have any questions.
October 27th marks the end of our quarter 1 grading period. As we get closer to this day, we encourage everyone to be logging into their student's profile on Infinite Campus to see if they have any missing assignments and where their grades currently stand.
Teachers must complete a quarter one conference with all families. If you haven't signed up for one yet, reach out to your child's teacher to get this scheduled.
*Dojo: Teachers and parents will communicate through this and administration will only post information on there. Admin does not receive notification for messages like teachers do. We ask that if you need to speak with administration, to please contact the front office or send an email. We appreciate your help with this as we do not want to miss any communication from parents.
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO OUR STAFF!
This past week we found out that ALL of our teachers MET or EXCEEDED GROWTH in the 25-26 school year! THIS IS HUGE!!!! Mrs. Starlin and I see the daily work that I our teachers, instructional staff and everyone at QCE pours into our students. They hold them to high expectations, push them, and teach rigor to make sure we are meeting the NC Standard Course of Study. And while we see it each and every day, having this information come out in EVAAS just confirms what we already knew.
With the help of our amazing PTO, we were able to celebrate their accomplishments this week. We treated them with floaties, sodas, cupcakes and MAGIC confetti! If you are able, send a huge shoutout to your child's teacher. We are simply blessed with the best here at QCE.
Annual Title One Presentation
News from Nurse Wade
We had the SMILES Mobile Dental Clinic come last week and cleaned the teeth of 42 students. If your child was registered and was not seen, please reach out to Nurse Wade for clarification. In an effort to keep our students on a regular schedule, they will visit again in April. This will also give our students another chance to see the dentist without missing precious educational time.
Thank you to those who participated!
