Take 5 with Dr. Friedman
Welcome to the First Edition of Take 5 with Dr. Friedman
I’m excited to introduce the very first edition of Take 5 with Dr. Friedman—a weekly snapshot highlighting five key things happening across the Quakertown Community School District that we want you to know.
This newsletter is designed to keep our staff, families, and community members connected and informed about the incredible work taking place in our schools. Each week, you’ll find five quick, meaningful updates featuring student achievements, upcoming events, important announcements, and the innovative ways our teachers and staff are making a difference.
Strong communication and transparency are essential to building trust and strengthening our Panther community. Take 5 is one way we can stay aligned while celebrating what makes QCSD such a special place for learning and growth.
Thank you for reading and for partnering with us in this important work. Together, let’s make this school year one of our best yet!
Yours in Education-
Dr. Matthew Friedman, Ed. D.
Superintendent of Schools
#1. School Bus Safety
School is back in session, which means buses are out on the road. Drivers and students have settled into their new routes, and timing is running smoothly. Remember to stop for all flashing lights, obey school zone speed limits, and follow all bus expectations to ensure safety for all!
#2. Back to School Nights
We are excited to welcome our students and families to a brand-new school year! Back-to-School nights are a special opportunity to connect as a school community. Attending allows you to meet your child's teachers, learn about classroom expectations, explore curriculum highlights, and discover ways to support learning at home.
When families and schools partner together, students thrive. Your presence sends a powerful message to your child: their education matters. We look forward to seeing you there and starting the year strong—together!
