Amazing Shake
The Amazing Shake is a dynamic and exciting live competition that rallies leaders and role models in a school's community together to teach students about professional skills for success. The event places an emphasis on teaching students manners, discipline, respect and how to conduct themselves in a professional environment. The competition also introduces students to the networks, roles, opportunities, and career paths that they may not have been exposed to before. We are proud to send off our first group of students to the regional event on January 26. These students were nominated by staff and practice weekly in preparation of representing Fremont Academy! Be sure to shake their hand and wish them luck when you see them!

Fremont Soccer
Soccer tryouts are approaching! Prior to tryouts students are welcome to participate in intramurals that will be held on the dates listed below from 3pm - 5pm. Any student interested in trying out for Soccer may attend intramurals. Participation in intramurals is not a requirement to be eligible for tryouts. However, Athletic registration must be completed through aktivate.com before each sports season and prior to trying out for the team. Incomplete registrations may hinder tryout participation.
Intramural dates:
January 20, 22, 26, 28
February 3, 4
If your student may be interested in tryouts for the team, start the process NOW as gathering necessary information takes time. Key registration components include medical clearance from a medical professional and address verification for students transitioning to new homes and/or schools. Guardianship and residency verification are also important if applicable.
Free or low-cost medical physicals are available through community providers. Check this link for the most up to information. https://ssd.ccsd.net/parent-information-portal/
Soccer Tryouts are on the following dates for different grade levels.
February 17, 2026 for 6th graders

How to check grades
Infinite Campus is the official grade and attendance reporting digital platform of CCSD. It is a live platform that links directly with each teachers input. If a student is absent or late to any class, you can adjust your account settings to receive notifications. You can also receive notifications when assignment grades are posted! Students can also create their own account to be responsible for monitoring their own progress. Your account can be created by clicking on the Infinite Campus logo then by clicking on the “New User” link. Existing accounts can have their usernames or passwords obtained by clicking on the “forgot” links of the website.
Grades are reported according to CCSD's updated policies to include:
* The actual score for each assignments will be recorded in the gradebook (no more minimum F or 50% per assignment guarantee)
* Missing assignments will count as 0% in the gradebook. Students have to turn in all assignments within 5 days of the due date.
* Students who receive a failing grade on a summative assessment have 5 days to develop a plan with their teacher to retake the assessment for a better grade.
Monitoring Student Assignments
Canvas is the approved learning management system for secondary schools of CCSD. This platform allows parents and students to see the required assignments and due dates. Students will know how to receive credit for each assignment or assessment required of them through this platform. Students will need to obtain a “pairing code” from their account to give to the parent during the creation of a parents “observer” account. Detailed instruction on this process can be found here or you can click on the picture to the left to get started.
