Are you ready to ShowDOWN?
CVHS Family Newsletter 2026-2027, Issue 8

Sabercats, in case you missed the banners in the hall, the announcements in your advisory class, or the posts on the @cvstudgov Instagram, next week is Homecoming Week! Remember, only boring people get bored, and Homecoming Week is all about the spirit and energy you bring! There are so many ways to get involved: dress up each day, fuel yourself by participating in the fundraisers, and attend all the events!
Get some rest this weekend, because you're going to need it for all that StudGov has planned!
With Gratitude,

Show Up | Show Out | Show Down
Each week throughout this year, we're looking forward to celebrating students who are living our CV values! And every month, we'll select recipients for our Castle View Challenge Coins.
Hear from our SaberStaff this week one how you can Lead, Compete, Challenge Yourself and Each Other, and Show Grit.
Show Up
Aiden Romero: Aiden Romero demonstrates leadership and compassion as an aid for students with several learning needs in my 6th hour physical science class. Having completed high level science classes, Aiden works with the students, another aid, and the adult support staff to modify the content I'm teaching so it is more accessible for the SSN students. He is helpful, caring, and connects with the students in each class...they enjoy him and he enjoys them...often there are smiles, along with the good conversations about science.
Kenleigh Hancock: This student demonstrates mastery of Spanish 2, maintains high overall grades, and expresses ideas clearly and confidently in both public and group settings.
Eli Lowe: Eli shows up to Spanish class everyday with a positive attitude and smile on his face. He is always respectful and kind to others.
Grady LaDuc: Grady brings a great positive attitude to class. He stays fully engaged, asks insightful questions, and shows a strong interest in learning.
Jeff Kohls: Mr. Kohls really SHOWED UP by connecting with students and making sure kids are seen. He has gone out of his way to help kids feel they are in a safe and accepting space and has communicated with other adults to help support former and current students.
