ESL Summer Camp: Week 3 Highlights
Week of Monday, July 20 through Thursday, July 23, 2026
We had a wonderful final week of camp!
I want to sincerely thank our incredible teachers: Mrs. Kelly Kuster, Mrs. Ivette Shoemaker, Mrs. Carla Thompson, Mrs. Kathryn Kunz, Ms. Katie Whalen, Mrs. Lori Carlucci, Mrs. Kelsey Martinelli, Mrs. Christine Thompson, Mrs. Kristi Hill, Ms. Alaina Gorka, Ms. Stefanie Pereira, Mrs. Carri Strunk, Mrs. Hannah Azofeifa-Urena, Mrs. Karin Deneka, and our amazing counselor, Mrs. Viviana Moncada! They welcomed our students each day with bright smiles, provided exceptional instruction to continue to develop language skills, and made learning in the summer so much fun! I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside these fantastic FRSD staff members.
Families, thank you so much for your support over the past three weeks! Thank you for ensuring that your child got to and from school safely, whether dropping them off or having them join the walking school bus, and encouraging them to attend each day. I hope your student had a wonderful time learning alongside their classmates.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Check out all of the amazing things our campers did this week!
Tuesday: We had a special visit from Mr. Rich and Mr. Andres from The Fudge Shoppe! Students learned about the importance of putting effort into everything they do, how kindness can change someone's entire day, and even learned about how some chocolate treats are made!
Wednesday & Thursday: On our final two days of camp, students primarily stayed within their summer camp classes to wrap up different projects that they had been working on across our three weeks of camp.
Social-Emotional Learning: Our awesome counselor, Mrs. Moncada, continued to support students with mindfulness and managing emotions while students created sun catchers or glitter jars to help them regulate their feelings.
