Summer 2025 Edition

Dear JME Families,

As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the growth, learning, and community spirit that have made this year so special. It's been a joy watching our students thrive and support one another every step of the way.

We are incredibly thankful for our beautiful John Muir Community. Our students, parents, grandparents, day care providers, staff employees, and teachers are truly special and one of a kind. Thank you for letting us teach your children! And thank you for being there for them, showing you care about their education, and being apart of our inclusive and diverse JME family.

With summer just around the corner, we hope this season brings your family rest, adventure, and plenty of time to recharge. Whether you’re traveling, relaxing, or simply soaking up the sunshine, we wish you a safe and joyful summer break!

Thank you for your continued support. We can't wait to see you again in the fall, refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning.

📃Classroom teacher assignments will be posted by 4:00 pm on August 5th.

⏰ August 6th is our first day of school.

Muir Shout-Outs

Office Depot Donations

Thank you Office Depot! If you are going back to school shopping for supplies... consider going to our Office Depot in Antioch!

Our Slatten Ranch Office Depot donates to John Muir Elementary! With their donations, we have been able to purchase teacher chairs, classroom headphones, paper, safety cones, and more!

When any customer is checking out in store at the registers the pin pad will ask if they would like to round up their transaction or donate a specific amount. 100% of the donation goes specifically to John Muir in the form of a store credit that we then use to purchase the needed supplies.

If you have office supply needs please shop with our local Office Depot and donate to our school! Visit them at 5885 Lone Tree Wy, Antioch, CA 94531.

Farewell to some of our JME Trailblazers

Good-bye 5th graders! We are so proud of all your hard work! We can't wait for you to come back and visit and tell us all the wonderful things you are doing. You will always be trailblazers!

Thank you to our teachers who are retiring this year! You have made a difference for hundreds of students and families. We are truly grateful for your teaching service and so happy for you new adventures to come!
