1st Full Week of School!

EdisonNewsletter!1st Full Week of School!

Dear Edison Family,

We have officially completed our first full week of school, and what a fantastic week it has been! The halls have been filled with smiles, laughter, and the excitement of learning. Our students have been adjusting beautifully to their routines, and our teachers have been working hard to create engaging and welcoming classrooms for everyone.

I want to thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. Your support at home—whether it’s helping with homework, reading together, or simply asking about your child’s day—makes a world of difference in their success.

Let’s keep the momentum going as we move into the coming weeks. Together, we are building a strong foundation for a year full of growth, achievement, and happy memories.

Reoccurring reminders:

Traffic Reminder 🚗

To help keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently, please turn right when exiting the school during arrival and dismissal. This small change will help reduce congestion and ensure a smoother transition for all families. Thank you for your cooperation!

Also, when crossing the street or high traffic areas, please make sure to be crossed by a crossing guard at the cross walk, thank you.

Reading and Writing at home: We do a great deal of reading and writing at school. Parents/Guardians, if you could help us out by helping your kiddos with their home work, also reading to them, and having them write something short and age appropriate (pre-k: trace some letters, Kinder: write a few short words, 1st grade: write a short sentence), would go a long way.

Homework Reminder: I want to take this opportunity to encourage all parents to support their children with their homework. Your involvement in your child's education plays a crucial role in their academic success. By working together, we can ensure that our students are reaching their full potential.

Parental Involvement: Research consistently shows that students perform better in school when their parents are actively involved in their education. I am proud to share that our school has seen a significant increase in parental engagement over the past year. Let's keep up this positive momentum as we work together to support our children's learning journey.

Summer School Update: I must inform you that there will not be summer school offered this year for attendance recovery. Therefore, it is imperative that your student attend school on time each and every day unless they are sick. If they are sick please leave a doctors note with the front office.

School policy: Parents, we will not allow early pick up of students after 3pm, including Doctors appointments, etc...

Transportation Changes: ALL Transportation changes must be made no later that 12pm. Any changes after that time cannot be made. Thank you,

Parent/Guardian Lunch with Students Parent/Guardian Lunch with Students

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We will allow parents/guardians to have lunch with students beginning on August 26th. This gives us time to get our cafeteria routines and procedures in place. We appreciate your support!
