St. Mary's Annual Appeal

Dear Friend of St. Mary’s,

As we reflect on the blessings of the past 125 years of education at St. Mary of the Assumption School, we are filled with deep gratitude for the generosity and faith-filled support of our community. Last week, current students, families, staff, alumni, parishioners, and community members came together to celebrate our 125th school year and our National Blue Ribbon School 2024 Award. We are filled with joy as we see how clearly our school continues to thrive.

Today, at the end of this school year, we invite you to continue this legacy by supporting our Annual Fund. The continued strength and growth of our school is possible because of your philanthropy.

Your generosity makes a lasting impact. To maximize the power of your support, please consider the following giving options:

• Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs): A simple, flexible, and tax-efficient way to support our mission. If you have a DAF, you can recommend a grant to help sustain our work over time.
• Company Matching Gifts: Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your contribution. Check with your HR department to see if your company participates.
• Recurring Giving: Monthly giving provides a dependable source of support and helps us plan for the future. Even modest recurring donations add up and make a significant difference.

Thank you for your commitment and thoughtful generosity.

Athletics are a valued part of student life at St. Mary’s, teaching teamwork and school spirit. This year, our middle school girls basketball team went undefeated, and we’re excited to build on that success. We currently offer three sports but want to expand opportunities for more students. With a generous grant from the Brookline Community Foundation, we’ve made progress—and now we need your support to grow. Your gift will help us add new sports, upgrade equipment, and strengthen our program for all students.

Our Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K Summer Program is more than just fun in the sun — it’s a vital opportunity for young children to grow, explore, and build the foundation for a lifetime of learning. This year, we transitioned from a funded program to a fully licensed one, now offering infant and toddler classes alongside our Pre-K program. We have plans for continued expansion, beginning with a summer program for Pre-K students.

This new summer offering is high-quality, fun-filled, and designed specifically for our youngest learners, with our fully EEC-certified teachers continuing the important work they’ve led throughout the school year. Students will further develop fine and gross motor skills, enjoy engaging field trips around Brookline Village, and participate in exciting arts and STEM activities.

Your support enables us to continue providing the highest quality early childhood education to our school and parish community. Rooted in our commitment to excellence and our foundation of faith, our early education program is growing to meet the needs of more families. Help us continue to expand and offer the best Catholic early childhood experience possible for our children and families.
